It was adequate for a stopover en route to Cornwall

The roads were shut nearby and we took 2 hours finding hotel, only to find we were at the North not South one, and only way to get there was by going up numerous no entry roads

Always a good place for a one night stopover when travelling south. Easy to get to, plenty of good parking, petrol and catering adjacent (being a services), and very reasonable price.

The postcode for the hotel on either side of the A34 is the same but once you drive to the wrong one, it is a very difficult problem to then get to the right one on the other side. It would be useful to warn of this on your website

Friendly and efficient receptionists, single storey building (i.e. no stairs to negotiate!), proximity to food outlets in A34 services area.

The room appeared newly refurbished and was very clean. Good sized Samsung television. Warm and the radiator didn't automatically switch off overnight as it does in some other hotels. Very good value for the night, including free parking.

Only two 13A sockets and not one near the bed. The shower didn't provide very warm water in the evening, but was warmer in the morning.

Location, staff, rooms space, cleanliness...

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The location was just right for our needs and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel provided excellent value for money.

The bathroom was quite dated. The entrance was quite far from the car park and it was raining heavily. Not very many sockets in the room for charging.

Have stayed here a number of times . The staff are always very helpful . The hotel is on one floor and the rooms are situated in an L shape . Alway a comfortable and peaceful stay. Excellent value for money

The rooms although clean, could definetely do with a refurbishment programme .

The bed was very comfy.

The bathroom needs updating as does the bedroom furniture. Some of the lights need new bulbs and some power points are needed next time the bed.

It was exactly what we needed to break a long journey. Lady on reception was lovely and very helpful.

It’s very much no frills, but nothing stuck out as bad.

The hotel has everything you need staff friendly we asked to move rooms as needed a quiet part of hotel they were happy to move us the room we were given had tea and coffee facilities food availability at services a short walk away at extra cost

Not enough disabled parking spaces

Room was good, nice and spacious but there was no hot water facility. However, they gave us £20 worth Food Voucher to use at McDonald's. Nice place to relax and very convenient for car parking. Has McDonald's, Costa Coffee, and WH Smith and a petrol station. Overall, a good place for holiday.

Hot water facilities and heating system.

No frills and basic so kept the cost down. Friendly receptionist. Comfortable bed and very clean room. Dated yes does it matter to me no.

Perfect location from A34 en route home from Portsmouth ferry. Staff extremely pleasant. Handy having the McDonald’s and Costs for a quick bite to eat

A bit tricky to get to coming from the south as on opposite side of road.

Not exactly five star but perfectly comfortable and convenient for a one night stopover when travelling from A to B.Services that are convenient for a petrol top up and for food with McDonalds just a few yards from the hotel.

I loved the fact that there was charging on site. The location was great and the price very reasonable. The bed was excellent, clean quiet and comfy and that's the important thing!

The room was clean but the light switches were dirty. They need a bit of TLC. I couldn't find the hotel entrance at first because lorries had parked right across the sign.

All went smoothly, booking, check in and check out.

A heated towel rail in the bathroom would be an inexpensive improvement to facilities.

Price and staff

Crazy to get to Sutton scotney from hotel. There is a direct road, but you can’t drive down it so a 2 min drive to get to location takes 20Mins as you have to go round the world
