voco Winchester Hotel & Spa By IHG

Impossible to unpack my case as there were NO DRAWERS and only a tiny wardrobe. 2 shower heads but hard to turn one off without turning the other one on. �10/night to park in an uncovered lot, though the hotel was in the middle of nowhere.

Convenient location with adequate parking, rooms were perfect size and very clean. Staff was friendly.

Morning staff were very warm welcoming and friendly, Sharon ,chef ...and new night staff were pratically nice to us

Other Night staff.. not so nice didnt give us the right information when checking in. We had a long wait to get inside our room for they took a while to get the room ready. Didnt tell us about booking a table at dinner time. When going for dinner the lady that served us was not very nice throwed our plates on to the table and gave us looks and glares when walking by our table. Never smiled or made us feel welcome.

Check in was friendly and efficient

The room was tired and the shower was weak

I liked everything..We had 2 days in the hotel. With breakfasts. The staff were delightful and the breakfast fabulous. During our evening meal, which was lovely and the staff again excellent. I noticed that several members of staff were working in an area together. It was lovely to see that they were polishing the glasses and cutlery. So many places don't take such pride in this. So very well done

It would have been great if the spa had more flexibility for hotel guests to book spaces once they arrive. As I had struggled to get through on the phone. And I couldn't find a way to book online as a guest.

The room was comfortable, & the food in the restaurant was good.The staff were generally friendly, although the Spa was having an event, so we couldn't use the pool. The staff there were both condescending & unhelpful.

There were no heated towel rails in the bathroom, so you are drying yourself with stale damp towels.There is also no toilet brush.The wardrobe is far too small for two people sharing & there are no drawers available, although the room could accomodate some.Dirty glasses were uncleared & the table remained unwiped, leaving it sticky.The lobby, though tastefully decorated , is incredibly draughty due to sliding , rather than revolving doors.The bar staff need better training, a well stocked bar, but on the first night nobody could make a vodka martini, lack of basic knowledge?

The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and were able to assist us with all our requests. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.

As often happens in hotels, the television was not simple to use and there is rarely enough lighting in the rooms.

The room was a good size and nice and quiet. Beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for any requests we had. There was pently of public spaces for drinks and chatting and it had a nice ambience.

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.

I upgraded but felt the room was a little disappointing, shower didn't have a rose head and wasn't sure what the upgrade consisted of really from what i had previously booked

Room was lovely and clean. Comfy beds and nice shower

The spa's sauna and steam room. Wasn't working properly. We had paid for access and couldn't use 1/2 of what we had paid for.

Everything was just perfect. My partner and I stayed in the Suite, it was absolutely amazing. All the staff members were polite and friendly. The breakfast was amazing. The whole venue was very clean and tidy. The communication we received before arriving was very helpful. I liked that I was able to ask questions via WhatsApp instead of having to phone up. I just wished my partner and I stayed longer! We will definitely be coming back.

This is more of a nit pick. We recognize that not all facilities provide small wash cloths for the face. Without this nor a loofah-like item, it was difficult to use the anchored shower gels provided.

when arrived at location there was a horrible smell sewage on entering hotel was told there was a wedding so they were very busy,we had a spa which was very nice but all night long all i could hear was slamming doors ,which kept us awake ,when we went for breakfast were told it was a extra £20 each which we were also not told about ,when i complained about this was told tou were very sorry it was busy night and the manger turn her back on us ,so not a pleasant experience .
