The staff and the food was good
The central heating went off. There was no fridge. The curtains did't pull together. There were instructions what the light switches were for and telephone
The location, as we had a valentine meal at 62 the bank
Being woken at 7:30 on a Sunday morning by what sounded like someone doing repairs and hitting nails, behind our headboard
General ambiance and friendly and efficient staff. Central location a bonus.
Being a light sleeper I found the lift, next to my room, a bit noisy. I thought meals and drinks a bit over-priced.
Excellent location in a smart clean hotel supported by very pleasant and helpful staff.
View from the room.
Comfy room situated to the rear of the building, quiet, warm, welcoming. Food was delicious, good selection of beers and wines.
Food is great, staff are lovely. Very clean.
The only 2 plug sockets are on the other side of the room to the bed, which isn't helpful. The lighting in the bedroom was very dim. Personally I found the bed uncomfortable.
For us the location was fantastic and also the fact that the hotel has parking. Our room was upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. All the staff are helpful and polite and the cleanliness was great.
We stayed at the hotel as I had a surprise birthday party booked for my husband's 60th. The venue is perfectly located and easy to reach by car, rail, bus and on foot from most directions. The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. I didn't book breakfast with the room, but decided to add it on in the morning, and I'm so glad we did as it set us up for the day. There is a huge choice of a cold buffet, with fresh juices, and an amazing choice of hot breakfast too. We will definitely stay again, even though we live relatively close
Very polite lady at reception. Room was cosy and very clean.
Room nice and clean and bright.bed was very comfy.Plenty of hot water.the bath is always a bonus
Music from the pub at the rear of the hotel was banging out music until 3.15am.went down to reception at 2.15am and complained but the new guy who was on his 1st every shift did nothing.we complianed to the receptionist when we checked out and explained.she said nothing and said please book again. The omlett in the morning for breakfastwas blan to say the least.
The staff were so helpful on the desk, and the location is perfect, also it is beautiful inside
The bed was so uncomfortable, we had a standard double room but the bed was small and uncomfortable
The hotel was decorated really nice & modern in the lounge, bar & restaurant, the staff were very friendly & attentive with their service. We checked in early & our room was ready & we got an upgrade. We had lunch, evening meal & breakfast & the food was fantastic with great service. We would definitely stay here again.
The position of our room was along the alley way so unfortunately it was quite noisy during the night & we got woken up a few times.
The hotel is lovely, staff were helpful and friendly, the room was great and the bed was fabulous. Breakfast was great, the buffet breakfast offered a wide range, staff were attentive, the cooked breakfast was good but I would say it could have been a bit hotter
My room faced the sidewalk at the side of the hotel and this was busy and noisy as I stayed at the weekend...it was however very quiet after around 12.30am. The floorboards in the room and in the corridor were super creaky , other guests walking to their rooms woke me up. There weren't any USB points
house keeping was excellent , staff was lovely, the hotel was quirky but lovely
the mornings was hell, 5.45 in morning woken up by window cleaner, the road sweeper with the leaf blower every single morning at 6.30. our bedroom had a bathroom from nextdoor backed onto our room so 7 in morning they had a shower and it felt like we were going through a car wash. we even could hear them getting our of the bath. the doorsframe is so gapped the light from the coridoor blares through the door so we had to block it up with pillows and things
Great location Attentive staff Quiet and relaxed
Bed to soft
Central location. Comfortable bed
Room looked on to brick wall and noisy ventilation system
Hotel location fantastic, spacious comfortable room and a delicious breakfast in a lovely window seat.
We were not able to park our car at the property and had to use a public car park nearby.
