Bloc Hotel London Gatwick Airport

The hotel is wonderfully convenient inside the terminal. There's an issue trying to find the hotel. They drop you off at what looks like the bowels of the terminal and say go in there and find it. There isn't a great deal of signage.

Perhaps I didn't read the information about the hotel adequately but I was not happy to see that my room had no windows.

I liked being able to walk off the train and go to a hotel within the airport. Once there, short walk to restaurants with hotel discount and then a longer walk to my terminal. The room was compact but as expected for 1 person - small desk with stool, hooks only (suitcase on floor) but the bed was almost luxurious.The wet room was spotless but…

…yes the shower what does go everywhere in the wet room so take a shower last.

Proximity to flight check in

Trouble finding my booking on arrival. Climate control in room difficult to regulate.

Inside the terminal so very convenient. Discount at restaurants was welcome. Does the job.

Wet room. Could a squeegee mop be provided? The free drinks on 7th floor was great but not a welcoming room. Could there be one on each floor?

Very convenient location inside Gatwick South Terminal. Clean room and comfortable bed. Soundproofed well so no noise.

Bed is against the walls on three sides, so had to climb over partner to get to toilet. Shower is inside toilet space in combined wet room.

We paid extra to check in at 9am, great service from the young boy that was training on reception.

We chose a room with a window. The entire layout is cleverly compact. Bed was very comfortable, and location within the airport is excellent. We took advantage of the 20% discount at Giraffe restaurant

Bloc hotel does what it says on the tin - it’s a great place to get some sleep if you have an early flight. The room is small but it has everything you need for an overnight stay and it’s surprisingly quiet. Staff at the front desk were very helpful.

Nothing really.

The proximity to departures. The helpful staff. The comfortable bed. In other words, everything.

Nothing. I just wish that the cost was less expensive.

Very nice room in a great location in the airport.Room seemed pretty new and had a nice window.

The location was perfect and staff friendly. Also the free tea and coffee was great

The shower threw water out of the back of the shower head as well as correctly through the nozzle. Plus it was a wet room, so once you have had a shower, just using the loo or sink gets your feet wet.

Location for departure couldn't be any better. Room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and check-in was quick.Particularly like the discount offered at Wetherspoons for a bite to eat and nice drink for those staying at Bloc. WiFi is good.

TV channels were not working on the evening I stayed but this is the first time in more than 20 stays at Bloc, not a big deal as I was taking an early flight the next morning anyway.

I liked the location that it was right there in the airport. The only way I won’t miss my flight (even though I almost did). Like the fact that it is practical and quite basic though not for people like me with a lot of luggage but Ryan saved the day without a fuss. I will stay there again.

Nothing really

Effortless to get my room as I did not need to go via reception to get my room. My room was ready for my arrival and was all do via Whatsapp. I was able to access my room via the link that was sent to me. I was also able to do a friction-less self-checkout.

Nothing I can say that I did not like. My biggest friction point with hotels is having to waste time waiting on lengthy on-boarding processes. This was the opposite.

An excellent location in the South Terminal. The room was ideal. Access to a complimentary hot drinks machine and discount option for the Giraffe and Wetherspoons restaurants.

Best airport hotel I have stayed in. Just above departures in south terminal. Room was quiet.

More signs would have made it easier to find

Stopped overnight for an early morning flight. Brilliant location in the south terminal. Short walk to departures, Wetherspoons and Giraffe. Both eateries offered adiscount for hotel residents. The room was very quiet, small but ideal for a stop over.

Once the shower is used the floor stays wet which can be a bit of a pain.
