    Pros +

    • We had a nice overnight stay at the Gatwick. We arrived late and left early (about 30£ taxi from Gatwick). The bed was very comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the heat worked very well. The young man who received us was also very pleasant, and made checking in easy. If you're looking for a comfortable bed to rest up on your way in or out of London, this is a good option.
    • Close to the bus station and Gatwick airport is a short bus ride away. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's a good distance to the city center so it gives you the country side vibe of London.
    • Location is perfect for an early flight out of Gatwick. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely kind and efficient. He insisted on helping get our bags upstairs and gave clear guidance with regards to options for food. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

    Cons -

    • The facilities are aged, and the furniture is past its prime, with exception of the bed. We had a couple of creepy-crawly extra guests that we had to help outside (spiders), but with the climate of the area and the windows open when we arrived, it's not unexpected.
    • Because of the distance from the city center, the bus and train fare are costly.
    • A couple of beverage glasses in each room would be very helpful.

Property had recently been revamped and felt fresh and clean. The small fridge was a bonus as there is a small sainsbury opposite where you can buy basics .The young man on reception carried my bags upstairs for me as I had 2 big flights of stairs with mobility problems.Huge car park.Just 5 minutes from Gatwick airport.Comfy bed.

Sign for hotel is partly hidden in bushes so you can't see it.I had to park in garage, get out of car and go look. There was only one bathroom on 2nd floor shared between several rooms.Lovely room, comfy bed let down by old ,tatty bedside drawers. All plug sockets by window with bed head on opposite wall,so couldn't use the bedside lamp.Long flights of stairs. No help available to take bags down stairs at time.Tea,coffee, cup but no spoon.Only one pillow.

Basic accommodation, excellent value. Good location.

Better instructions on finding the hotel woudl have been great. Its exactly opposite the Sainsbury Local.

Location and price were very convenient for an early Gatwick flight. Room was very spacious fitting perfectly fine a family of four. Having a parking space was a plus

Some of the structures in the room needed fixing. We do appreciate staff told us they are in the process of renovating. So it wouldn’t discourage us from coming back

The staff who was welcoming us and checking us in was very friendly and kind. Although new to the business, he made us feel welcome and cared for.

The room was not very clean. There was lots of dust and the bathroom appliances were only cleaned superficially. There was a TV and a mini fridge but I would have preferred to have less extras and more cleanliness.

Couldn’t recommend more. The location is excellent, right opposite from Sainsbury’s and easy to get from by LGW airport either by taxi or local bus. The staff are so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect for myself, my husband and our two young boys. Very comfortable, clean and spacious. The value was excellent. Highly recommend and look forward to staying again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Staying at Gatewick London Inn was truly a great experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment I booked — the reception team stayed in contact, providing helpful updates and making sure our arrival was smooth and stress-free.Honestly, for the amount I paid, the service exceeded all expectations. We kept reaching out with questions, especially about other activities around London, and the staff were always happy to assist. They were patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We had an emergency that required us to check out a night early, and I didn’t expect any kind of refund — but to my surprise, they refunded us without hesitation. That level of care is rare! The place was spotless, had plenty of facilities including car parking, and just gave off a warm, inviting vibe. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. Amazing staff, great location, and outstanding service — you won’t regret it!

Perfect location before our early morning flight. Old building, loved its quirkiness as it added to its charm. The host was so welcoming and friendly and took time to explain everything. Nothing was too much hassle.Beds were super comfy. We appreciated complimentary biscuits and bottled water. Thank you so much!

We stayed for 2 nights to see some friends in the area. The room is really spacious and there is a fridge, water bottles, tea, coffee and biscuits which is better than most budget hotels. Also the bed size, bedding and comfiness are better than a budget. However, you can tell the hotel is in a transition as the state of the bathroom, no shower screen, tap falling off shower, toiletries from the supermarket, give it away as a budget hotel that is trying to see better days. I'd recommend it as a comfortable place to lay your head if you aren't looking for a hotel to lounge around in.

Needed somewhere to stay for the Brighton Marathon and found this little gem.Great location close to Brighton / London railway line and host was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Comfortable bed, good location, very friendly host who explained that the bathroom light and door had slight issues but work was soon to be done on them. The car park was plenty big enough too. And the host was quick to reply when I booked and confirmed that they could facilitate a late check in time.

The bathroom light was stuck on and the door was noisy. Neither were big issues or bothered us really and the owner was honest and pointed them out to us.

Good location. Very attentive house staff. Kind and considerate.

Very dusty and musty room. Bedding, curtains were musty. It was like a room that hadn’t been used for months. Bathroom sink was blocked and not useable. Shower tiles were unclean.
