The Lodge at Kingswood

The room was nice if a bit utilitarian. Bed and shower were nice, the food at the restaurant was reasonable, but not exceptional. On the end of a long road abutting a golf course, so very quiet at night.

At least for an American, I encountered something I had never seen before. I went into the room and nothing worked, not a single switch! I asked at the desk and she had to ask her manager. It seems that when you open the room, in the dark you need to find this protrusion in the wall that you need to insert your room key into the slot to engage the electricity. Just as a note, when checking in they should mention that to unwary guests like myself. Also, the person manning the desk should have been able to answer the question immediately.

What a great find! Perfect location, very comfortable, meticulously clean and excellent facilities such as a top notch restaurant used by the golf club members and hotel guests alike.

The room was so nice, the bed, the shower and even the layout was just everything you wanted and needed

Obviously remember you are on a golf course that runs private functions some nights and golfers in and out all day

The Lodge is a modern hotel, with great facilities!

There was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower.

It was fine. It’s clean, easy parking, relatively modern. Ok breakfast that lasts till noon which others could learn from. Staff was fine.

Not as much something I don’t like but this is for golfers. Literally right on the golf course. So if that’s why you are there go for it! However there isn’t an ounce of charm in the place. It’s just a place to sleep…so if you aren’t golfing I’d recommend going somewhere else.

The bathroom was incredible! We loved the location and the room size was brilliant. Thank you for making our stay such a great one!n

Perfect location for a wedding nearby

Nothing. There was a mix up with the room type we booked but that is being resolved by means of a refund

The staff were very friendly and helpful the room we had was a really good size nice comfortable bed and the food in the restaurant was excellent

Just amazing, stayed for 5 nights and everything was great, staff friendly and very helpful, lovely food and great value for money. The room was large extremely clean and comfortable. Will definitely being staying again.

We've stayed here before and returned for the quiet location and general comfort. They offer a good breakfast and the rooms are comfy and well equipped.

Unfortunately the bed hadn't been very carefully made and the mattress topper was askew, so there was a big lump in one side of the bed. Otherwise, everything was great.

Very welcoming from the start of our stay to the end. Staff in all departments were very friendly.

The cost of the drinks in the bar were expensive and the room could have had more coffee pods/milk to save a trip to reception

The room was excellent, everything catered for. Staff supportive and pleasant. An outstanding part of our stay was the full English breakfast, one of the best in years, beautiful, bacon, sausage cooked to perfection and presented well.

The shower was amazing! The rooms were huge! The beds were comfortable and the curtains blocked the light for a great sleep. The family room even accommodated 6 people. Would definitely go back. The breakfast was great and they had the best bacon! Can’t fault this place at all. Free, secure parking was a nice bonus. Lovely location too.

The hotel was great. The room was clean and the breakfast included was really nice.There was poor Internet reception in that area in general.

Wasn’t sure what to expect with it being a golf club, which appears to have rooms. I’m a keen golfer so was keen to try and my room was very nice. I eat in the clubhouse which was really nice quality and quite enjoyable, albeit a little awkward in there.

My room could have done with a better clean, not that it was dirty just very dusty around the room. Window cill, edges and skirtings very dusty. I think it would also benefit from nicer toiletries.

I normally stay at the Lodge as my son lives in Banstead. It's great value for money. The breakfast is lovely too
