The Players Golf Club

Set in beautiful rural grounds, and easily accessed from Bristol via either the ring road or the M4. The Player's club offered a peaceful and relaxing overnight stay. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean, modern and warm. I would definitely stay here again.

We came to attend a funeral at the crematorium and the wake was at The Players. The location was good for us. Staff were very friendly.

The room was extremely basic. There was nowhere to hang anything not even a coat hook. Bed was low and hard. The only mirror was too high to use comfortably IE for drying hair etc. The TV didn't work properly and turned itself on at 3am. The shower didn't work properly. The tea and coffee making was very basic and not convenient. All in all we won't stay again.

The parking is perfect for contractors & the on site facilities are like the Bar area are superb for food and drinks on site.

Evening food menu could do with a starters & deserts to complete the package.

When we checked in we were told breakfast was from 7 (we needed to leave by 8 for a course) we were then told that the staff hours had changed and no one would be in until 8am.

The room was extremely hot and stuffy. Slept with windows open (and we were ground floor) and fans on.

Super clean room and bathroom, spacious and shower pressure was great.

Friendly staff, lovely food, nice size room

The housekeeper entering our room whilst we were still in bed!!! I assume they thought we had left already…. Our door was locked….They were very apologetic!!

Beautiful surroundings and it’s obvious the golf club works in harmony and is respectful of nature. We saw swans, geese, moorhens, various song birds, and hares during our visit. It’s nice to stay somewhere that takes care of its human and non-human visitors. This was our second time staying and our accommodation could not be faulted. Very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean room, comfy beds and a fantastic wet room with nice hot shower. Big TV with lots of options including sports so the whole family were happy!Decided to eat in the open bar and had a very enjoyable evening. A big shout out to Cher who gave us a very warm welcome and was really knowledgeable about the club, its history and future plans. We didn’t have chance to play golf but the courses looked beautiful. Finding the accommodation block after check in was slightly confusing but we soon found our bearings.

Rooms need a lamp it’s either all lights on or none.

Good location for us as staying close to.family. Nice setting in grounds of golf club.

One pillow each and not a good one. Tea making facilities poor with milk that had gone off so not the best.
