- Clean and tidy room. Nathan the guy running the bar and reception that evening was super helpful and accommodating, nice guy 10 points. Food was excellent all the staff were polite and friendly.
- My default hotel to stay at.Clean, warm, friendly. Great bar and exceptional food.
Cons -
- price of bar food! £19.95 for a poor quality scampi and chip meal £8.55 for a glass of cheap wine, no ev chargers
- Bathroom needs upgrading
- For a superior room, there was no proper wardrobe, no iron, no mini fridge, no glasses for a drink. There were 2 plastic glasses in the bathroom but one was dirty with toothpaste at the bottom. Bathroom light wirings were very dated, shower over the bath was an old model with no rainfall shower head. Very small bottles of shower gel, hardly enough for a good shower. Door to the room had a lot of paint chips and a very wobbly handle/lock. It was a cheap fire door possibly dating to the 70s. Surprised there were no offers available at this hotel as it was so quiet. Also we were advised that the bar would close by 9.30pm on a Saturday evening.

Great location, good breakfast although it was an additional charge. Comfortable bed. Room was nice and warm.

Decent hotel in the countryside with big rooms and a good breakfast. We were thankful for the heating as it was freezing outside. Great place to stay if you are visiting the meditation centre.
The shower could have had more power, but we stayed for only one day, so it was fine. The room ceiling had a patch of water damage but nothing that bothered us too much.
Good location for where I needed to be
No heatingFood wasn’t greatVery tired and run down
The hotel was warm and welcoming, food was outstanding , lovely atmosphere and staff so friendly stunning views.
The day staff were so lovely. We had a really good meet/ greet !
The shower was a little difficult for me tIn room 18 to get the correct temperature
Found the suite about Villotte Szabo very interesting
I'm aware Dogs cannot stay, I'm sure it's to do with ethier hygiene or practical reasons etc etc but my parents weren't able to bring thier dog so had to spend out money on kennel for the night but never mind
Convenient for Much Birch community hall. Offers food in the evening in pleasant dining areas. Staff welcoming, prepared and helpful. Room large with super king size bed.
Could hear guests in rooms on either side and below. Shower hose, tiles and bath mouldy and carpet edges need a good vacuum. Dirty tissue behind bed, used mug on tea and coffee tray. No electric socket near bed for phone charging, although usb sockets by kettle.
Very friendly. Warm and comfortable. Lots of history..Good food.
The way Booking.com tried to cancel my booking without my knowledge. !!!!! If it I had not rung the hotel to change arrival time I wouldn't have had place to stay. Not impressed with Booking.com about this !!!???
The Pilgrim is situated a handful of miles south of Hereford with lovely views from the back of the hotel. We were visiting Hereford so good location for us. The rooms have been refurbished but the bathrooms are still to be done. Dinner was pleasant and not over-expensive.
The restaurant was never warm all the time we were there with people pulling cardigans etc on as they came in. There was no mention of breakfast in the booking.com options - it costs £12.50 and is quite pleasant if fairly basic - so would be better if a bed and breakfast rate was available or at least the breakfast price mentioned as it usually is.
Lovely room.
Whoever was above us, I felt like there was a herd of elephants in the room, they were tramping about from 6 am to 8am, so our sleep was not the best.
Stunning views from the back of the hotel and restaurant Good breakfastComfortable bed and lovely roomEverything you need
Room was lovely and big. Bed very comfortable. Staff really friendly and helpful
Long wait for food and not a big selection for breakfast
Beautiful view out of window, huge and comfortable bed. Helpful and friendly staff. Room large and clean. Restaurant/bar had good choices but closed quite early
Large car park, countryside setting. Very comfortable bedroom.
Great location. Coffee was weak. Staff friendly and helpful.
