Pros +
- The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and we cannot fault the. Hotel at all in anyway.
- Nice room. Lovely rural location ( small village). Great views. Friendly staff. Good restaurant and breakfast.
- We stayed for a night whilst enjoying the nearby Shesley Walsh hill climb. What a find! Lovely room, spotless and very comfortable. Fantastic food and drink, from pub grub to a la carte. Really friendly and efficient staff, nothing too much trouble. Lovely view from the terrace across the valley. Fresh and tasty full cooked breakfast. All in all, a brilliant stay.
Cons -
- Absolutely nothing it was beautiful.
- Room overlooked the garden - very noisy at times.
- Superior room had no wardrobe just rack with 4 hangers (they were captive so none had been stolen). Radiator turned off when 8C outside, no way to turn on one in bathroom. Waited 45 minutes after ordering dinner, gave up, made us pay - said kitchen was busy but 1/2 tables were empty. Paid for breakfast but not served until 8:30am Saturdays!! Staff nice but in a condescending way. Clean enough. Nice bed.

Location
Poor service wouldn’t even offer a sandwich or any food after travelling for 6hours sent us 30minutes away to a pub to eat
Decor looked very new and it was very warm and inviting. The pub downstairs was authentic and lovely
Good location friendly helpful and professional staff, excellent food
Lovely room great food and very friendly staff
The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful.
This accommodation was ideally located for walking The Worcestershire Way.The staff were very welcoming and always helpful. The bedroom/bathroom was a good size, well-equipped and very nicely decorated and prepared.Dinner was delicious and with plenty of choice on offer. The breakfast was excellent.
Fabulous location for a quiet weekend away.Rooms were well appointed. The food was delicious and the menu wasinterestingly varied. And not forgetting the very welcoming and capable staff. Many thanks.
Amazing food, great staff hospitality, nice rooms
Room bit too small but bathroom impressiveBreakfast very goodResto/bar vibe relaxing Staff very friendlyCountryside views spectacular
Interior decor was fairly bland and basic for its historical significance
Nicely decorated room
The room was boiling hot, had all 4 windows open, the fan on and half of my body out the duvet. The bed was also rock hard, I don't mind a firm mattress but it was like sleeping on concrete
The room was lovely, clean and the staff led by Jane were so helpful and professional. We will be staying again in the summer.
We loved our stay. Thank you for having us.The food was exceptional.
Staff were fantastic without exception - friendly and accommodating. We even managed to train one of the girls how to flambe a sticky toffee pudding - her first time ! The food was also fantastic although the breakfast could have been a little more generous. The atmosphere was great and the room was cosy and comfortable Great location - we did the local loop walk the next day in the rain and mud - fantastic !!
Prices seemed to have been raised for the Valentines menu on the Friday - e.g. on a recent previous lunchtime visit (2 weeks ago) the sticky toffee pudding was £9. On this visit it was £12 but on the website daily menu it is £11 and on the Sunday lunch menu it is still £9 ! Its our favourite pudding but £12 is very expensive and the increase to £12 was excessive and felt a bit exploitative - it is also very inconsistent across the menus. I am sure there will be other examples too?
The staff were absolutely amazing and welcoming, the food was lovely, bed was comfortable, very clean and tidy venue. I will definitely be returning when I work in the area.
The staff were amazing especially Katie and Caitlin in the restaurant. The food was exceptional and want to go back again.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
The breakfast was beautiful and the room was so aesthetically pleasing, I love the touch of the kettle and the tea and coffee tidy, the robes are such a lovely touch too. The water bottle and glasses made such a difference to me as a water drinker most places don't give you that option. It was so cozy and welcoming. The staff are so so lovely, so helpful and kind. This was a last minute stop and now I can't wait to come back.
I wish the toilet wasn't as loud but it's neither here or there because everything else made up for it.
