Great location, wonderful room, really good breakfast!
Everything was good.
Hospitality, friendly staff, large rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent selection of ales. Superb breakfast.
Lack of parking facilities. There is a car park near to venue at reasonable cost
This was our second visit. Breakfasts were top quality. Rooms were good. Staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing. Parking can sometimes be a problem, but it wasn't during our stay.
Staff were great, breakfast was delicious
Could’ve been cleaner
I loved the friendly, relaxed atmosphere; very good food delivered quickly after ordering including an excellent breakfast; parking right beside the hotel; the location which was 3 mins walk from the Malvern Theatre where I saw a show. Also loved the extras in the room including the bowl of sweets, a good selection of hot drinks, the fridge and the safe.
Can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like.
Very comfortble room, excellent bathroom, wifi good, breakfast was excellent - very helpful and friendly service with good suggestions and attentive, lovely breakfast
Spacious, clean room. Excellent pub within the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Our room wasn't cleaned after the first night - it was still perfectly clean, so not really a problem.
The staff were great, and the breakfast was good.
The pillows were uncomfortable!
The property had character and a lovely warm atmosphere The room was well maintained and cleanThe bed was so comfortable The location was perfect for walking the hills. The breakfast was delicious and served in a warm welcoming manner Loved it, we would love to visit again.
Slightly quirky because of the age of the building. The staff are fantastic and really want to make sure everyone feels at home. The bar and restaurant downstairs are open to non residents and are busy at lunchtime and evening. The food is excellent and it’s a warm friendly atmosphere. Rooms comfortable and breakfast is amazing, offering just about anything you could want.
The car park is very small. We had to park elsewhere.
I ate in the bar in the evening. Food was excellent and the bar was welcoming with attentive staff. Really enjoyed the lack of TV and loud music. A really great place to meet with friends and relax. Breakfast was excellent and unrushed. My room had everything I needed and was a quiet space after a busy day
Excellent breakfast and the sardonic/acerbic wit of the Manager serving.Central location making everything walkable
The small car park (6 or 7 spaces) and the early morning noise of delivery vehicles in the location if staying in one of the rooms at the back of the hotel
Staff very helpful, central, large room and bathroom
Lovely staff. Very welcoming. Helpful. Very pleasant room. Close to the theatre.
Clean cosy room with exceptional en-suite bathroom. Level of service, right from the moment we checked in, was amazing - everyone from reception staff up to the owners themselves were very friendly and personal. Great breakfast choice and quality of the produce was high. It's right in the centre of Malvern so everything is accessible from bars and restaurants to the Hills themselves if you're on a walking holiday.I don't normally 'do' hotels when I go away but Great Malvern Hotel changed my mind in this case. I'll be visiting Malvern again in future and they will be my 'go to' from now on.
The only downside is a very small car park due to their location, maybe 10 spaces at the side of the hotel. They are completely upfront about this on their listing and we knew this before travelling, no hidden surprises. If you've a big SUV/people carrier, bear this in mind. There are car parks close by so you should be able to find a space somewhere nearby.
Everything was superb, from the friendly booking in with reception and wonderful service at breakfast to the spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms.
There was nothing to dislike.
All fine if you don't...
Everything was fine until in the morning we saw the way clean towels and bedding are delivered to the rooms - first on the floor of the lift, then put on the floor by the rooms
Great breakfast!
Experienced a lot of noise from lift as our room was next to it. But it was New years Eve so all relative!
Location was ideal as it was just off the main high street and easily accessible to get about. The hotel owners, Jeremy, Rani and family were very welcoming and their attention to detail and the little touches made for a lovely stay. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and we had very good views from both windows. The breakfast was fabulous with much to choose from and cooked and presented perfectly. The hotel itself is very interesting with regards to the history and has many different parts to it. The On-site parking was a bonus.
