The Hotel Rafiya, Redditch

Ideal location for our visit to the NEC

On arrival we were told there was no hot water but nothing was offered to compensate. Air vent cover in bathroom had fallen off. Electric socket hanging off wall in bedroom. No plug for bathroom sink. Mould in corner of bath.

The room was clean and had been very recently been decorated. Good clean fresh towels and bedding

There is gaurd dog at the back of the recption building, it got very upset at the sound of my car aproching . The bar/resturant has been closed down. The car park has a portacabin, a motorhome and a tatty looking ice cream van in it.

Really rough and run down , depressing , no hot water , gap under the door to the outside so cold air coming in , no WiFi in the room, bedside light broken. Looking at other reviews on trip advisor ,pretty much everyone's experience was the same.

First room was not made up ready but response and replacement room was quick an efficientWIFI was good

First room was not made up ready 2nd room was very cold- i put the heater on and from 6pm - it took well after 11pm that i was warm enough to remove coatTV lost signal at 10pmlights didnt work properly - kettle not working and then in morning no hot water for shower or washing - reception was shut but there was a mobile - rang mobile - but just went to voicemail - so had to leave hotel with out shower

I never want to stay again

It was unlit, unwelcoming and rundown

Terrible worst place should be shut down by health and safety

Absolutely filthy lifted pillows to find chewed up bits of wood and rats droppings and yellow piss stains from the rats the staff didn't even batter an eyelid just offered another room 4 rooms we checked and everyone of them either had broken heating broken telly or was dirty avoid this place we only used it for 1 of our drivers to stop.over for the night never seen anything as bad as this

It took 40 minutes to get into our room as the key card wasn't working. And we had to pay for our parking which means that it's ot budget hotel.

Brilliant location and super clean with almost everything we needed

No spoon

nothing it was dirty manager was very rude and then wanted an extra £40 for my 2 dogs for 1 night

we were given a room where the bed hadn't been made or changed since the last person bin was full,totally disgusting

HOTEL CANCELLED MY RESERVATION UPON ARRIVAL! I got there and found no one at the reception, called the number on the glass, spoke to a guy, informed me that all reservations are cancelled... NO AHEAD NOTICE WHATSOEVER... NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL EITHER.

Comfy bed and quiet location for good sleep

Staff were reluctant to help with WiFi and then nobody answered the phone when I tried to call again

lights, sockets didn't work no heating in bathroom, No smoke alarms, no restaurant/ bar sometimes no hot water.

Location and the radiator worked!

The layout and the blind was broken and no milk for tea or coffee

The hotel is well located and cheap. Clean toilet and sink.

Where to start!! The whole place is beyond tired, it's grotty. Vertical blinds in the window didn't close properly so people going past could see in. Whole room feels like a prison cell. No furnishings or homely touches, aignificanrly dated furniture. Although the toilet and sink were clean, the bath was disgusting. Hair in the plughole, random black marks on it. TV didn't even have all the free channels.

Location, not many travelodge nearer and available

More like a motel. Individual rooms you can access from the car park. Looked dodgy. Very basic. Smelled of smoke. Hairs in bath. Smudges of stains on bathroom door. Yuck. Mouldy too. Very cheap mattress. Floor looks like those use to cover an industrial warehouse.

Absolutely nothing

The bed wasn't comfy and the actual condition of the place was vile ! We sound piss on the bathroom floor mold everywhere and pubes on the bed and toilet seat the mugs that are left for us to use hadn't been cleaned either it still had tea residue in the bottom it was disctisting !! The photos I've put on aren't even the worst of it I have several videos of more things we found will be gettingmy money back!

the location was close to where I want to be in the next morning. Hot shower was good, The room and the bathroom was clean. towels were clean.

The heater in the room was not working, it might be not working for ages. The outside temperature was 11 celcius so I had to stay in the bed to keep myself warm. I requested a heater but I got nothing from reception. Heat and sound insulation of the windows and the door was very poor.

Liked the receptionist, she was nice

Bed was broken, large spiders around the ceiling, walls are very thin including the above room with sudden loud sounds and all night a loud humming noise above, water was pouring all night from above and crashing in front of our room as it was raining.
