Pros +
- Extremely obliging staff, excellent buffet style breakfast.
- The health facilities and free WiFi
- quiet, comfortable , clean , free parking , good location , reasonably pried
Cons -
- Room 56 was a little shabby and small and washbasin was cracked across.Note we are from Canada not California as your address indicates.
- cost for breakfast too expensive
- the food we had to wait an hour after ordering fish & chips, when it came the potatoes were very dark but not crispy the fish was average, the service was disorganised. breakfast was ten times worse a buffet style, it had fried eggs that were so dried up they were like rubber. i asked for more eggs which they did but they were way over cooked. the bacon was so dry it was hard like cardboard i did complain to the reception staff was told the head chef would be in in the afternoon so i could speak to him. then that afternoon i was told they got it wrong & would not be in until the afternoon the next day. my complaint got no further than the reception although i was told my comments had been passed onto the general manager & head chef i have received no feedback. i said i would not be having breakfast the following day even though it was included in my stay. all in all ruined my stay.

the room was spotlessly clean, the staff were on the whole pleasant, the public areas were pleasant & clean. the swimming pool was great with spa tub, sauna & steam room all very good.

Staff were lovely
Shower was rubbish and no Aircon
It’s in a good location and it looks nice from the outside.
Our room was comfortable enough and clean. There was a musky smell on entering the hotel. Also the pool, steam room and jacuzzi weren’t very clean, there were tide marks on the waterline on both and the sauna temperature was set too low, like they were trying to save money
liked the pool and gardens were beautiful
strong unpleasant smells around the building and corridors , smell of urine in womens changing rooms , locker doors broke no information to say u needed ur own lock for a locked , cobwebs in the rooms , not enough sugar or milk in rooms
Excellent stay a beautiful grounds had an amazing spa day - also staff are great have to try the food next time
Didn’t stay longer
Room very good, bed big and comfortable. Very good location, close to city centre and West Midlands Safari
The pressure in the shower
Breakfast was ok but the juice for all didn’t taste right
Food a bit warmer
The setting is amazing. If you like countryside you'll love this place. Directly opposite the hotel is Hartlebury Common, great for walking your dog. I liked the fact the hotel accepted dogs. The bed is comfy and the wet room is lovely especially the shower.
I didn't realise you had to tell the hotel you had a dog with you and would assign you to a specific dog friendly room upon arrival, although since we'd already checked in to our 'regular' room the staff didn't move us, which was lovely. When we got into our room in the evening of 23. 4.25, it was actually quite chilly and no heater in the room and the radiators off. The furniture looks a bit worn too.
Nice old house
Very tired , the family rooms were very noisy. Children running through the corridors at 7am shouting. Adults in the corridors at 2 am talking and making noise. The radiator in the room kept banging all night which kept the kids awake.
Spacious room and bed, very clean. Food at the restaurant was okay - a little pricey. Made use of the tea and coffee facilities in the room. Made use of the TV.
Loud guests walking through the corridor. A note said that if we would like coffee brought to the room then to call reception which we did. They then replied saying they don't do that during breakfast time which I don't agree with. Dogs barking in other guests rooms.
It was clean, and the staff were professional and great that check out is 11am allowing for a lie in and use of the pool.
The property itself was stunning and so were the views, staff were friendly, room was clean and spacious
The bed was the most uncomfortable thing myself and my partner have ever slept in, we hardly slept due to feeling like we were sleeping on bricks, which is such a shame as the hotel is beautiful
Dinner was good - room was fine , bed was comfy
I'd say from the photos I wasn't't expecting the room to be in a new build add on
Convenient location to our event
It was dirty, the corridors smelt awful going to the leisure facilities and there was a huge crack in my bathroom sink (room 17)
The location was beautiful. The sauna/steam room and pool were nice but unsupervised.
Due to the pool being unsupervised, other guests were running and jumping in from all directions and being dangerous. This ruined the pool experience. The beds were really uncomfortable. Guests were in the corridor in the middle of the night, clearly really drunk and shouting which meant we couldn't sleep well. Staff at the reception in the morning were not very interested in feedback, simply saying there wasn't anything they could do now the time has passed. Which was a shame as the receptionist on ghe previous day had been much more helpful but clearly overstretched
Location was good. Hotel was peaceful and quiet. Bar food was very good.Parking ticket issued in error was sorted out quickly by hotel staff.
I know this lovely Hotel well as lived in this area for 18 years and was a regular at the Gym and the Hotel itself.Always a great favourite with family and friends.I loved how clean the it all was abut found some ares in need of freshening up with paint especially bathroom doors in bedroomsalso the swimming pool hallway from the Hotel needs a lot of work and new carpet.I loved the comfortable beds and lovely fresh towels the Staff where very helpful Lovely breakfast and served very quickly.Breakfast was finish at 9 am most Hotels normally finish at 10 am as this is early only corporate guests would want to rush down and finish early not so much people on holiday .I still love staying here and will be back again but it would be first class stay again with just a few improvements.
