Cons -
- very hot weather made everything a little tougher to enjoy--but not really the hotel's fault
- The breakfast was okay, but not as good as I'd hoped considering how lovely the hotel is - wet toast with poached eggs, limited choice...
- The room was smaller than anticipated.

Clean, recently refurbished to a good standard. Rooms have fans and blankets available. Tea and coffee provided in rooms. Some minor failings that are not worth mentioning. The hotel is also a bub - but that was not a problem as it was quiet type.
View was excellent and breakfast met expectations.
The room was smaller than anticipated.
Property is right across from the sea. Beautiful views! Heloful staff, clean room, good breakfast.

Carrying 3 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs, Bed was uncomfortable.
Really fabulous inn with a wonderful restaurant with a water view. The room was spacious, the breakfast generous and delicious (with lot of variety). The restaurant serves delicious food as well. Perfect place to read a book by the lovely picture window facing the water or take a stroll along the boardwalk. Very cozy and welcoming. Very professional staff as well. Highly recommend!
The location has no public transportation and a 10-15 minute walk from town (about 20 minutes from the university). Taxes are difficult to get unless the inn calls for one. Not a whole lot of things to do in town, but it is still a wonderful place to stay if you are staying in Aberswyth.
We loved our stay here! We opted for a sea view room and loved it. Room and bathroom were spacious for an older building. Pub below was outstanding! Breakfast was incredible! Owner and staff were absolutely great too.
I suppose climbing very narrow steps would be hard for larger or older people, or someone with a lot of luggage. We liked it.
Couldn't check into our hotel/room - stranded at night in a city/country we'd never been in.
My Wife and I arrived from the US and drove by car from London and arrived at 11:15pm, we got to the hotel and the doors were locked, we knocked and couldn't get in. We messaged the hotel multiple times, called the hotel - no answers, no messages from the hotel saying they were shutting down early or wondering what time we were coming since we hadnt arrived yet. We were stranded with no place to stay. Incredible. Asked for a refund, they said no. Wow. So what did I pay $175 USD for? Stress? We had to call around and find a hotel that checked people in all night in town or else we woulda had to sleep in our car and it was quite cold outside. Not sure what kind of high ranked hotel doesnt stay open to check people in?
Really nice and comfy. Large bathroom, comfy beds. Newly painted too. Facility was great, great location , walkable distance and friendly staff. Quite despite that it’s on top of a pub.
Breakfast had to be ordered and was limited in options.
the staff at the hotel were very friendly and efficient.rooms were very clean and the property well located
Ideal location, good room and facilities , very clean bedroom an bathroom very comfortable fantastic breakfast. Helpful and courteous reception and breakfast staff
Bart staff to get a drink after I arrived, just an extra 30 mins before kitchen closed ; even with a reduced menu? Bar staff next day before I travelled home on Friday evening. Difficult to get a drink and service both times.
I booked a single room that had a 3/4 bed and plenty of space. Decent water pressure in the shower. For saying the Glengower is a very busy pub once my head hit the pillow i heard nothing. Staff were all amazing and the breakfast options more than adequate.
very little. No private car park but knew that before booking. Honestly no downside.
Tastefully decorated (in the bar/restaurant and bedrooms); relaxed evening meal with good service and dog-friendly; great breakfast with helpful efficient staff. The rooms were immaculate and high quality with a long mirror, refreshments and spare blanket. My mother had a seafront room with a beautiful view. I had a back room which looked out at the hills (there was some scaffolding which didn't bother me at all).
The bathroom mirrors in both my room and my mother's were too high to see our heads; they were an interesting port-hole design, but it would be better to have a long one to suit short and tall people. It would be useful for any Welsh-speaking staff to wear the 'Dw i'n siarad Cymraeg' badge or lanyard, so customers know which staff they can Welsh to (my other favourite Aber hotel uses Welsh / English automatically so customers don't have to ask if they speak it). There is no lift which makes it difficult for people with mobility problems, pushchairs and suitcases. The absence of lift is the only reason I gave 9/10, instead of 10/10.
Location, food and hospitality were 10/10
I like its seafront location and the cleanliness and decor of the room/corridors/bar/restaurant.
I have no complaints about the property. parking, on the other hand, is great. I got lucky and found a space reasonably close to the hotel but I’d imagine that it can be quite difficult to find parking at busier times.
Parked right outside the hotel and it was free from 5pm until midday. Hotel right on sea front. Good breakfast with very friendly staff
The road outside the hotel was covered in shingle washed up from the beach, room was a little tired and had scaffolding up against the window which made it dark and not a pleasant view. We were not warned of this beforehand. Felt the price we paid was a little high.
Location, cleanliness, polite staff
From the moment I walked into hotel I could feel its unique atmosphere. Amazing, very helpful and friendly staff, perfect location. Lovely room with beautiful sea view. Thank you for looking after me, I will definitely come back :)
