    Pros +

    • Beautiful rooms, comfy bed and pillows. Restaurant food was fabulous.
    • An overnight stay. The evening meal and breakfast were absolutely exceptional. Beautifully decorated property, well appointed facilities. Perfect. Very good value for money too.
    • Lovely property, comfy rooms lovely and warm on cold night. Dig friendly, restaurant food very delicious

    Cons -

    • I wasn't aware of the 24 access door code and couldn't find any staff later in the evening to find out what the code was (couldn't see it in my room either). I wedged the door open instead and was nervous to move far! Also pre-ordering breakfast the night before isn't my preference either.
    • Wifi was a bit limited in the stable bedroom
    • Music from the kitchen was a bit loud, but it never went on too late so we didn’t mind x

Very clean room, warm and welcoming. Convenient to where we needed to visit.

EV charger at property charged us aprox £34 for charge, which is fine, but a further £44 for staying in the spot. If I hadn’t woken up at 2 in the morning, would have charged us around £200 despite us setting a max cost of £50 on app. No warning on signage near EVs, no information about this on room info, no info from staff.

Amazing food as always. Bed and room comfortable and clean. Huge spa bath!

Just one or two little niggles. There are only two plug sockets either side of the bed. This means that you have to choose between having the mini fridge plugged in, having the lamp on, having the clock plugged in, or charging your phone.A broken part on the spa bath meant we couldn't drain it.Only four mini sachets of milk provided meant that we had to go down to the kitchen to ask for more.

Fabulous food , beautiful restaurant, great service.Ample parking

For the most expensive room in the building.it was a shame it was so noisy. I assume it was directly over the kitchen,as could hear the noise of the working environment. overlooking the car park was a little less than perfect as the headlights from the cars did shine into the room even when the curtains were closed.

Beautiful building and very accommodating staff

The noise from the music in pub was very loud, even with the earplugs.

The communication from Carly was amazing, clear and responsive. It made our finding the room easy. She also helped with booking a table in the restaurant on Christmas eve. Room was spacious and comfortable.

    Nothing all good.

I stayed in the suite which was clean & very comfortable. There was plenty of tea & coffee. The spa bath was amazing!

Although it was great to get a bath full of hot water, it was too hot! It is a double bath so i thought the water would run cold......no. I even went & had a meal & it was still too hot! There should be a warning, especially if kids are staying in the room. Also coming down the back stairs in the morning was difficult with a case & bags

Nice hotel in a lovely area.

Restaurant was closed as no chef. No alternatives for food in place - found this a little strange, we thought a back-up would be in place. Seemed a little drastic to close a whole restaurant because of one person.Bar closed at 8pm - last orders 7.30pm.Room was very cold. We couldn't get the radiator on. There was an awful smell on entering the room, might have been drains from the bathroom. The room we stayed in was not part of the main building, it was off the car park.

Attractive spacious bedroom but only one bedside light.Comfortable bed.Smoked salmon and avocado breakfast was delicious

Breakfast was ok but hardly good value. Strange bacon folded over.No extra toast and why does it have to be soughdough these days?
