Receptionist very nice and accomodating, upgrading as the hotel wasnt busy. Room was imaculate and the food was excellent.
The room was very good
The food in restaurant was not good, nor the service. We had too wait longer than normal and we got the starter together with the main dish… which was not warm…. Also the quality was below what you would expect. We had the same experience in the Swan hotel near Bibury : a few years ago it was terrific but last year it was as well poor quality.
The room was spacious, warm and clean
Very comfortable bed, nice quiet room
The wall to the next room must be a bit thin beacuse we could hear thye sound of voices and the tv. Luckily not during the night
The room is quiet, the hotel is very well located. Walking distance from train station and main places in Stafford.
Near to the Town Centre, shows and facilities.Went to show tribute Queen band in the evening.
No complaints loved the Swan, staff very friendly.Would stay their again.

Hair in my sausageRude member of staffBreakfast took over 40 mins to arrive
Exceptionally clean and spacious. Central location with parking.
Bathroom needs modernising with a walk-in shower. A fridge in the room would have been appreciated with complimentary fresh milk and orange juice. Surprised that there weren’t real teabags (Tetley not Twinings). Also, couldn’t work out heating and opening windows.
The housekeeping staff were lovely, helpful and chatty.
The bar prices are very high, highest i found in Stafford. Limited bar staff and multiple issues meaning a limited choice of beer was available.
The staff and food were excellent
The TV didn't workThere was no hot water
I have stayed a few times before and like the hotel, good bar, restaurant and location
Unfortunately there was no hot water when we arrived ,this was sorted early evening and was ok next day,but went off again early on our last morning so could not have a shower. Also early on last morning the fire alarm went off for a short time which startled us a bit.I am sure this doesnt happen often and we have had no problems like this previously
Fine
Not everyone has a passenger or a sat nav. Without instructions I found it near impossible to locate the hotel despite the valiant efforts of the receptionist on the phone. And then it was hard to find the hotel car park although it was a good Carla rk.
Spacious rooms, clean n tidy, quiet, friendly staff & excellent comfort.

Location, service, parking
Shower not easy to operate, light bulb needs replacement, food good but service slow from kitchen, soundproofing really poor with discussion etc heard v loud and clear.
My stay at The Swan Hotel was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect – excellent cleanliness, very friendly and helpful staff, and a great location. The breakfasts deserve a special mention – the best breakfast I’ve ever had in England! Fantastic quality, great variety, and a wonderful atmosphere. The overall vibe of the hotel was lovely – everyone was smiling and welcoming. Although check-in officially starts at 3:00 PM, we were allowed to check in earlier, which was a huge plus. Daily towel changes are another big advantage.I highly recommend The Swan Hotel and would happily stay there again!
I really liked the accomadation, it was beautiful. The room was a great size. The evening people were lovely and we had a great meal. So a very mixed review for us.
Lots of noise from the street, the fire alarm went off at 6am, then woke our dogs up, we came down to take them out, no one at reception, rang the bell no one answered, so I had to open the door at the front and the dogs immediately peed outside because they'd waited that long. Came back in and was had a go at by the person for opening the door when we'd repeatedly tried to find someone before doing so. Hairdryer wasn't working and then it turned out you had to press a button but the air flow was very poor. Felt like an imposition.
