Pros +
- I wouldn’t stay here or recommend it to anyone. Worst stay of my life!
- Location was great.
- Everyone was so friendly and the food was tasty. They had gluten free options which I really appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. Location was perfect.
Cons -
- The rooms are small, with squeaking floors, and the toilet was dirty and full of stains. I was given a room on the 3rd floor, and you have to pass through many doors to reach your room.At check-in, I requested a one-hour late checkout, and the reception agreed, saying it would not be a problem. However, on the day of checkout, when I reminded them again, the reception said I would have to pay an additional overtime charge.
- Advertisement on food was wrong and not alot of options.
- The stairs are quite narrow so just keep that in mind when bringing luggage!

Beautiful historic building, right in the center of old town. Within walking distance of everything. Breakfast and dinners were good and reasonably priced.
Nothing!
Great location, clean and comfortable.
Comfy bed, friendly staff, great breakfast
A bit of a smell from the seats in the bar at breakfast time but could just have been someone sitting there previously
Very friendly. Very clean. Small bedroom but allThat I needed.
Charming place. Room was surprisingly cool during the heatwave with the window cracked open and the fan going. Online check-in and check-out was really helpful as it can be difficult to find assistance at the desk.
Bed was a bit soft for my taste. Just note the narrow stairs and no elevator to upper floors. Was already aware of this so I opted for a backpack instead of a suitcase.
It is a great location and really feels like the old coaching inn it is. Really good breakfast too with vegan offerings. We didn't have an evening meal here but what we saw others order looked good.
The bathroom. It was very cramped and the fixed water head sprayed water over everything. Also there were no handrails which made getting in and out of the bath nerve wracking. Would recommend the hotel replaced the baths with walk in showered to make it safer and cleaner.
Staff was incredible! Very helpful. Great bar.
Steep staircase; no lift
Located in the heart of downtown. Convenient if you are walking. Parking was a tight squeeze but nice this was offered.
The room we stayed in was right by the patio. Tables next to the windows so at 2am, people are hanging out talking. Sounded like they were in the room with us. The room itself was filthy. Bathroom was dated and very poor condition. Didn’t want to shower due to the grime.
Great location. Great value for money. Small double room but with everything that was needed. Wanted an extra pillow and staff got me one straight away. Very comfortable bed. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. All staff were friendly. Despite an unclean bathroom, we would definitely stay again.
The bathroom was very old and grubby and could definitely do with a refurb. The plug in the shower was filthy and clogged with debris so it took an ages for the water to drain which put us off showering there again. The toilet was very stained
Staff were friendly and helpful.Location was ideal ?
Car parking is a bit of a nightmare but other than that all ?
Staff are always friendly and helpful
We had to move rooms as there was no hot water, and the bathroom had a very unpleasant smell. There is only one pillow each which makes it an uncomfortable night's sleep.
Clean and friendly. Centre of town
Stairs can be steep
Disappointing
Cracked sink which was very dirty with a tide mark and hairs etc. Lino in the bathroom taped together. No coffee with my breakfast despite me asking for one.
very friendly staff, close to town centre, warm, comfortable bed
The breakfast was a bit shambolic in the way it was organised. The menu was hard to interpret. the food was good though.
Big comfortable bed, friendly staff, central location
Great location, nice and clean ,very friendly receptionist and staff
Room quite warm ,heated towel rail in bathroom wouldn't turn down (or maybe I couldn't find the control)
Super friendly and helpful staff at reception. Excellent location—close to shops, attractions, and the parkrun. The food downstairs was also very good value.
The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
