Belton Woods Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

Everything,hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful, food lovely could not fault it.

Stayed for family celebration lunch. This was well organised by the hotel staff.

Hotel struggled a bit to handle the peak volume of guests attending breakfast the following morning (half term holidays with many families staying over Sunday night). Probably just a timing issue as I am sure the hotel usually manages fine.

The bar and rest was fantastic and the rooms very clean and comfortable

It was in good condition and visually appealing to stay there.

The bedroom was really really hot at night and we had no sleep because the AC was very noisy on and off every few mins all night. Bathroom was super hot too as the mirror was heated.

The breakfast and the restaurant staff at breakfast were friendly

The dirty rooms, stained towels, dirty toilets by the bar and wine bottles and empty cans outside front by reception. Also just lack of cleanliness in the male locker room for spa area. Very dirty showers and lockers

Breakfast was decent, the location of the hotel is nice and the staff are breakfast were friendly and helpful.

Some staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. The facilities in the room were lacking, one of the towels was stained. The changing rooms for the spa area were filthy and the showers in there were extremely dirty with empty bottles and swimming costumes left all over the place. The lockers were dirty too, the gents toilets by the bar area were extremely filthy and had used tissues on the sink, empty pint glasses and bottles. The grass area by reception there was more used glasses and empty beer and wine bottles. The lack of being able to check in early was also disappointing. The aircon in the room was extremely noisy too. The tables in the bar area were sticky, only once mentioned did they then get cleaned.

We had a great time, the location was excellent. One of the highlights of my stay was the pool, which was absolutely fantastic. Clean, relaxing, and perfect after a long day. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return!

Lovely hotel sat on the golf course. Staff all very helpful and attentive. Room was large enough with king size bed. Bathroom had good soap and shower and conditioner

Restaraunt a bit hectic at breakfast time

Excellent location for Grantham and Lincoln visits. Very comfy room. Lovely staff. Very pretty location near the golf course and woods. Breakfast was tasty, coffee great.

We got down at 9.15am for breakfast but some of the cooked items and pastries weren’t supplied. Thought that was a bit early for the breakfast items not to be replenished. There didn’t seem to be a fan to expel the air and moisture from the shower?! We were in the furthest part of the hotel from reception and used the outside door for access. There were several loose and potentially hazardous paving stones outside the door and they need to be mended before somebody has an accident. The speedbumps are very unforgiving…Could they be at more of a graded angle?

We ordered a meal in the bar for some friends. It took and hour to arrive and was cold. As we all needed to travel a long way home, we could not make a complaint.My husband is vegetarian and cant eat garlic and onion. His evening meal was very poor lettuce, 6 olives and grilled goats cheese.

Comfy bed. Room ok.

Furniture in room tired on worktop. No good light to do makeup in bathroom or room.Towel given to me in spa was marked. Around pool slippy. May have been nice to have robe & slippers in room. Pool area was noisy & not relaxing until later in the evening.

We always stay at the hotel as it’s close to where my dad is, shame they don’t do a loyalty card or something we visit three or four times a year

It’s not very cheap but apart from that there is nothing we didn’t like

The hotel is very poorly run despite the efforts of the staff. Many questions were met by answer we could but the system won’t allow. The staff whilst personable are poorly trained and motivated to respond to customers- they do not see work and are heavily burdened by rules which they have been enforced to see as more important than customers- I had four rooms for a week so plenty of experience

The hotel really does look lovely and the decor is beautiful. Breakfast was 10/10 and kept us all satisfied throughout our stay. Check in was really easy with friendly receptionists. Bedrooms were very clean and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the golf course. We did choose to have dinner at the hotel one night and this was very tasty! Bit expensive but the service was lovely and we were celebrating so this was to be expected. The lamb and rosemary pie was to die for!

The only thing I would say is that I spent a lot of money on our bedroom (I believe it was a deluxe room) however when I helped another friend check in, their room was exactly the same and they had booked a standard. So in hindsight, I wouldn’t have bothered booking the deluxe room and paying so much extra! But I will say, the rooms were lovey and the bed was so comfortable! We’ll definitely be back!

Staff on reception when checking out very remade and tried to double charge me

We paid £150 for a room then upgraded for an extra £50. We were next to the nosey people that woke us up at 7.15am. Fridge in room made a terrible nose. I love the hotel, staff and food but would I stay again no way.
