Crown Hotel

Staff and location.

We booked a room with private bathroom but were allocated a bedroom with a bath actually in the bedroom! There was no private bathroom. We contacted the Hotel after getting home and received a good response but it was disappointing that it happened.

The location was excellent the room was lovely and very clean and modern breakfast was delicious We had dinner which was excellent as well

Super dog friendly! Really liked our town house it was looking over a sea of chimney’s. It was clean comfortable and quiet. Very impressed. Great breakfast nice staff and we also enjoyed a romantic valentine meal in the restaurant which was cooked to perfection!

We love this hotel.. and always stay here when visiting Stamford. Central location, comfortable rooms, great staff.. and the breakfast and evening menu is fabulous. Cannot fault this hotel.

took me an age to work the shower! Also the room was very hot and we only figured out how to open the window in the morning.

Room was very clean nice toiletries and well appointed. Lovely vibe in the hotel. Breakfast was delicious with local produce. Staff were very welcoming, would totally recommend

Room was a little dated and the quilt was very poor quality- lumpy in places and no filling in others. The night porter was unhelpful regarding a takeaway breakfast that had been organised- I later found that this breakfast had been ready and waiting in the kitchen but he hadn’t gone to check.

The location was perfect. It was a short walk or cab ride to the train station.The hotel staff, overall was excellent.Will, in the restaurant gave honest recommendations, not based on making a sale of a high end menu items. His recommendations were spot on.Jessica, in the bar area was attentive and pleasant … always with a smile. It was very refreshing for a weary traveler.She is working on a signature drink called a “Sweet J” which involves Captain Morgan, Disaronno, and a bit of Pineapple Juice. She may be on to something special. But I digress.It was a pleasant experience staying, dining, and having a cocktail or two here.I highly recommend staying here to friends and colleagues.

A beautiful, well preserved and well presented old building in the heart of Stamford. Check in was simple and quick with an escort to the room, which was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bathroom also spotless and well stocked.Staff were friendly and attentive and the bar/restaurant was busy and cosy. (I didn't eat due to planned event).Breakfast was hearty, well cooked and tasty.Overall a wonderful experience.

It is in the centre of Stamford. All the details are high quality.

It doesn’t have a lift. The rooms are quite small.

My wife has a back problem and the staff did everything they could to help. Breakfast and dinner were both good. Service was excellent.
