It was near to where we needed to be and the food was very good

Bathroom could have been cleaner with a bit more care and the could use better toilet paper!

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, made me feel welcome and like I'd known them for years.Vibe was nice and warm, I've missed this.Location was great for my purposes.Room was suitable for needs and would probably stay again if on my own.

Bed felt like it had a weird plastic under-sheet on it that made me hot during the night and the mattress felt badly dipped, felt like I was going to roll out. First world problems I know. Still managed to sleep ok.

Stayed in 2022 and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Sadly nothing like as good in 2023. Eating on Saturday evening, very little of the menu was available, the meals that were, could not be faulted. Bar staff were stumped by a simple cocktail and that supplied was very much wrong. On leaving, no staff were on site, no way of leaving room keys or checking out. The breakfast in2022 was exceptional, in 2023 some stale fruit and a ‘mix your own’ pot of porridge was all we could get, left out the evening before.

Food - dinner and breakfast - was good. Bar had friendly ambience. Service was fine.

Room was hot and stuffy - unable to open windows as locks present. Room facilities were basic, but maybe par for the room cost. Shower facilities needed a good clean.

Lovely staff and the food was delicious.

Needs refurbishing. In ground floor rooms you hear everything upstairs as seems to be very little floor insulation. Bed is a bit hard.

Gardens, laid back feel, old building with character

The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. the car park was large. This was the closest place we were able to book for a relation's 50th birthday party that we were attending but ti was still 7 miles away from where we needed to be.

The double bed was small but comfortable. A machine of some kind made a noise all night long- maybe a heat pump?

Rooms were lovely, comfortable and well equipped. Pub and restaurant was very nice, food delicious. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

The Inn is a lovely olde world pub. Very friendly staff. Excellent dinner

The only disappointment was not being able to get breakfast until 9.30am which didn't fit in with our plans.

Used as a base whilst visiting relations. The room was in need of an update. Towels exceptionally good and fluffy.Bar pleasant with some decent real ales

Breakfast on our booking paperwork as included but non av available. We had a lovely weekend with family and didn’t let this spoil our weekend .E we by to a local garden centre and had a lovely breakfast.

Some water marks on ceiling . ?flat roof Didn’t rain but didn’t look good .

Very friendly staff. the room had the usual kettle, tea, coffee. free shampoo and soap in the bathroom. always nice clean towels.

The walls between the rooms are incredibly thin. you can hear people in the next room stirring their tea.shower head faces out of the shower and can't really turn it properly so if you turn the shower on and let it warm up a few seconds the bathroom floor will be wet. also, there is a shelf above the small bathroom sink which looks lovely but unfortunately as a tall person it makes brushing your teeth difficult.

Friendly staff throughout It is a beautiful old and quirky Inn, with the wishing well and inglenook fireplaces in the dining areas. Room was comfortable and clean, but a little noisy, which we knew from the pre stay information, but, as promised, after closing time in the bar below it was quiet.Recently under new management so a few changes are happening, for example breakfast is something new, we had the full English, served on hot plates… thank you! Large car park and a pretty outside area looking into countryside. There is also a small camping area with grass and hard standing.

Hotel closed so had to call a number to get information to access room. No evening meal or breakfast service. Shower inconsistent, tv didn’t work

Would not stay here again.

Advert on Booking.com said it was a pub with dining facilities. Pub not open Monday or Tuesday. No food served in evening or breakfast. Had to go out for food.TV did not work. Took 30 minutes for owner to come from where they live. No one on site.Room was very tired and needs improvement.Promised receipt has yet to materialise!

Thread bare carpets, a tricky set of steps,beds totally bad quality, no option for breakfast,thin duvets, cold rooms,and a member of Staff arguing with someone on the phone under our window very early in the morning,whole experience awful.

Nice country pub!

The room is very basic small and dated! the bathroom has no storage not even a shelf to put you toiletries on, there was 2 coat hanger one of which was broken! no bottled water in room!when booking it said breakfast not include but for the price they are charging £157 for two nights you would of expected a continental at least. this place is way over priced!

Everything was quite adequate, but I really like somewhere to sit and work with a chair & table which wasn't available in my room so I had to sit on the bed with my lap top. To be fair though it had a lovely restaurant and pub wihich I did use, but this wasn't open on Sunday & Monday evening
