Urban Hotel Grantham

Proximity to event we were attending, friendly & helpful staff, breakfast included.

Walls were a bit thin. Conference room nearby had an event going on that was a bit loud in the evening. Could hear neighbors talking. People above us were walking around the room and it sounded as if they were stomping.

Ideal location 2 minutes off the A1 yet quiet, friendly staff on reception, very comfortable room, loads of free car parking and competitively priced. A hotel that's being upgraded and refurbished

Room was a little dated bar and spa was closed at the time so was a little upsetting but booked for next year so hopefully all back up and running

The bedroom smelled badly of damp and things was only wiped down they didnt actually move things to clean.. also it said one bed king size but it was just 2 singles pushed together with hard sides so u cant even make use of the middle of the bed... also the kettles need updating limescale.. and boiled bottled water tastes disgusting in a cup of tea or coffee... but staff was really friendly.. but wouldnt go back

Good interiors, big room and very neat and clean.

Absolute bargain price, rooms are big clean and have everything you need, staff always courteous, this is my third time of staying now and will continue when I need to

It was easily accessible, spacious premises and room. The bathroom and shower were very nice. The bed was comfortable.

The smoke alarm went off twice. We were ready for bed so tried ringing reception to check what it was about but could not contact them. We were worried then that it might go off in the night. Thankfully it didn't.On our way out the next day we asked the receptionist and she said it had been shower steam from another room's bathroom that had caused it. She was apologetic.The decor and furniture looked a bit tired.

Excellent location rooms very clean staff very polite

The reception staff were polite and pleasant and I heard the staff on the phone to a customer and she was extremely professional.

Not having the restaurant and the other facilities albeit I knew beforehand you were refurbishing

Location was spot on. The hotel is very grand as you walk in, but for the size of the hotel parking could be an issue if busy. The facilities unfortunately were not open, bar, spa, restaurant closed. The staff say the hotel is being renovated but there was no skips or any work men around. Why would you close the bar, restaurant if you are updating the rooms.

A comfortable bed. Very helpful staff.Nice bathroom & products.The room had more character than you often get & a couple of beautiful botanical prints on the wall.

Need a warmer duvet - it was too thin for me. A blanket should be available.There was a bit of a nasty smell in the room.

The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful.

It is very tired and is allegedly undergoing renovations. Carpets need a good vacuum. Bathroom lights hanging out of their housing. A dodgy looking stain on the duvet cover that I didn’t notice until the second day ?Staff not terribly interested when I pointed out the cleanliness issues which was disappointing. I will not be back.

Rooms were warm and clean quite spacious they are in the process of doing up the facilities at present to finish next year Big car park 5 mins walk to eat at the brewers fayre as no restaurant at the hotel at present

I feel for price it was good difficult to assess what the new facilities will be like

The staff were really friendly and approachable. The location of the hotel was no more than 15 minutes from any of the destinations we visited, including Belvoir Castle, Belton House, Easton Walled Gardens, Woolsthorpe Manor, etc. The rooms were clean, although need some TLC, beds comfortable and there were 2 chairs and a small table so we could relax after a busy day.

We weren't told that the restaurant was closed until 8 days before we were due to visit, which made it too late to find anywhere else to stay. The bathroom had no toilet roll holder, no towel rail, and the shower water came over the top of the lip. There was nowhere to hang clothes (although we were told, very late, that the hotel was being renovated)

Position and quietness.

Fact that you had to pay £20 for dog when the carpets were in a dreadful state

Quiet with nice big comfy bed and couple of feather pillows

Restaurant closed but I knew that. Couple of small things in room like bed side lamp not working and shower leaks but over all a very peaceful stay

The staff were very helpful

Dated rooms. Poor facilities.
