Lakeside Fishing Retreats

Absolutely loved everything about our stay at lakeside fishing retreats . Loved the hot tub.. super comfy bed..cosy warm comfortable cabin. Partner caught quite a few fish despite the weather. Loved the fact it’s really dog friendly. Everything was perfect.

FANTASTIC!! Facilities provided exceeded expectations, super duper clean throughout! Lake side area, pizza area, EVERYWHERE! PERFECT! All little touches were a warm, welcome generosity too!

Nothing - can't think of anything else you could have done or provided to make ot more pleasant

Great fishing and lodge was perfect for going in for lunch and back out to fish loved that aspect , I will return.

Minor criticism seen as the app is asking, Bed hard, sofa uncomfortable, pillows poor.Maybe take your own pillows and topper.

Bed was uncomfortable as was the sofa and the dining chairs. I know it's a fishing retreat, but a few cushions would be great! The sofa was like sitting on a rock. Thankfully we were only here for 1 night. A few little extra touches here and there would be great. I also didn't like the fact that it cost us £15 for the dog for 1 night, they charge £15 per stay, but we were only there for 1 night so felt that charge was excessive, especially as there were no extra things laid on for the dog, like treats/bed etc.

It was a lovely location, and we were accommodated next to family which was good, cabins were lovely and warm and had most things we needed.The hot tub was great.

The main problem we had was the lighting outside, particularly on the road, was very dark when walking out.We could have also used a mop for the floors as it was quite wet while we were there.

It was clean and private. We did fishing off the end of our lodge and didn’t need to leave property to find the lake.

The sofa bed had a hard spot along the Center.

Bumpy roads

We absolutely loved it, the cabin was so cosy and very welcoming, the view was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband was in his element he caught so many fish. The hot tub was nice and warm. We loved everything about this lovely place and we are already looking to book again.

Quiet private location with own outside space. Hot tub kept hot for many hours and overnight. Cosy, warm cabin with good kitchenette.

Apart from kitchenette and hanging rail, not really any storage space or surfaces to put personal belongings, but fine for 1 night.

Lakeside fishing retreats is one of the nicest places we have been lucky enough to visit for a short stay ( we both said we could have easily stayed for a week )The lodge was immaculate and it had everything we needed for a perfect stay with extras l didn’t expect with a self catering holiday.The fixtures and fittings were all very good quality and the heating kept us toasty .The shower was a good size.The bed was comfortable and l love white linen so was a happy girl.My husband loved the fishing, he caught mirror carp, ghost carp, barbel, roach, lots of F1’s to name a few while l sat in the hot tub enjoying the peace and tranquility that is Lakeside fishing retreats.The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly and the pizzas served in the pizza shed were honestly the best we have ever had.

There is nothing to dislike, we will definitely be returning!

From the initial booking to the end of our stay, the communication was brilliant. The directions to the site were so easy to follow and when we arrived at the site we were really happy. The cabin was clean and really well looked after. The site was lovely, so peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

It was amazing. Everything was perfect! So tranquil. Myself and my partner went for a mini break of 2 nights to start with but they were more than happy to accommodate a 3rd night at a discounted price. We booked the match lake to start with but they were more than helpful to get us on the specimen lake with bigger fish for my boyfriend. Everything was absolutely immaculate. The bed was super comfy and we loved the fact the tv was on a moveable bracket where we could sit on the sofa or lay in bed and we could change it to our preference. The hot tub got super hot within a few hours and was absolutely lovely. We are definitely returning before the end of the year. Thankyou so much for the hospitality we really appreciated it!!

The kitchen - needed a serving spoon, a whisk and a potato peeler

It's a lovely set up, its nice to walk out of the cabin straight to the side of the lake, decent size, everything you need is in the cabin.

We were expecting the hot tub to be electric

Location was amazing, nice quite lodge & fishing was good.

Pillows could do with updating

Peace and quiet, very clean, fish in the pond, nice surroundings. The gate splitting the accommodation was is a realy good idea.

The bed and sofa were uncomfortable im afraid!

The experience was amazing. Sat in the hot tub with a glass of wine under the stars with a fire going by the lake in such a peaceful and serene setting really was most enjoyable and relaxing. The only sound was the fish jumping out of the water and geese flying over. We really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and helpful and although we didn't eat in the bar, the pizzas did look very nice.

The lodge itself was ok but slight improvements would help. It could have been a little bit cleaner. The sofa wasn't very comfy and the TV reception was terrible. This isn't really a place for going to watch TV but if the weather had been bad, the outside experience we had wouldn't have been possible, therefore it would be better to improve the signal.
