Well appointed building and refurbishment

Our room was not serviced on the first day, the issue was avoided rather than addressed by staff, nobody on site after 4pm to report it

Breakfast was great. Lots of choice. Very friendly staff and a great location. Will definitely stay there again

The evening meal was exceptional and excellent value for money

TV didn’t work that well, interference and no BBC 1 or 2.

The room was spacious and clean.It felt very relaxing in there,the bed was very comfortable.The breakfast was good and the meal we had in the evening was lovely

Could do with the choice of a Continental breakfast..As not everyone ate a fried breakfast.

Milk was off in the room so couldn’t have a coffee. Went down for breakfast only to find nobody there and all locked up so no breakfast.

This was a booking for my parents who absolutely loved it, especially the complimentary gift bag of continental breakfast etc etc. They are not used to staying over anywhere, this was a perfect location for Christmas day. I had already popped into the King's Head to check out rooms as my Dad had recently had heart surgery. I wanted to make sure it was suitable. Sadly for the King's Head, the morning they were going to check in a car hit the side of the pub. They came to my daughter's saying they didn't think they would be able to stay there. Luckily for them, but not for the landlord the damage was at the front of the pub, so their room was not affected. This memory of their experience will stay with them forever, thank you.

The staff were amazing especially the two woman we met. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was fantastic no complaints. It was a very cozy cottage feel to it. Would 100% come back.

Very clean , cosy , beautifully furnished

Due to my husbands height shower head was very low but can’t be helped in a very old property like this

Lovely quaint room. Friendly staff. Easy to check in.

Great bathroom but shower needs a door, consequently water all over the floor.

Lovely old building with modern interior. Able to check in an hour earlier. Large, comfy bed. Restaurant and bar areas looked inviting.

Bedroom was very warm though there was a small fan to use. Music could be heard coming from the bar/restaurant areas at 7am Sunday morning in the bedroom

Rooms nice

Stayed before and was in one outer buildings, this time in main building. Stairs very narrow and ceilings low… felt difficult to get to room carrying suitcase. Staff disengaged

The room and facilities were bright and airy. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Very comfortable, well-appointed rooms. The property also offers onsite breakfast and other meals. The staff are excellent. Special mention to Jo, who made us feel very welcome and well looked after!

The room had quite a bright green light in the ceiling (probably a smoke detector?) which might disturb a light sleeper.

Lovely comfy bed with good quality bedding. Great size TV. Nice food and friendly staff

The green light in the ceiling was quite bright so I was pleased I had a sleep mask!

Location - although not the original room assigned to us, because the staff forgot we were bringing our dogs, the room catering for people with disabilities was very spacious

The fact that unbeknown to us, the property is NO LONGER DOG FRIENDLY due to new management.
