Pros +
- Clean and quiet and a central location. Also reasonably priced.
- Surprisingly spacious and very well equipped, close to the town centre. All automated out of hours (and at breakfast time) so did not meet a single member of staff, hence the neutral rating. Nearby public parking chargeable but economic.
- Despite being in the centre of town it was very quiet in our room during the evening and night. The room was well kitted out and good to have the kitchen facilities. The property was clean throughout and we liked the self service breakfast room which had a basic but good variety of food.
Cons -
- I did not realise there are no staff or reception desk! I turned up to find a dark, locked, building. Panicked, I called the helpline and they told me they had texted me a code to get in around the side. I found the text and managed to get in but I was very disappointed because with 'hotel' in the title, I expected a hotel. To be greeted by nobody and a dark, closed building in a new place felt uncomfortable. The hotel had almost no guests and I felt that if something went wrong in terms of people behaving badly etc, I would be unsafe as there were no staff on-site or reception desk.
- Look out for the text message that explains how to get access out of hours, nothing tells you to do this, but contact made easily in practice and access easy.
- On entering our room is smelt of stale smoke. The kitchen bin under the sink hadn’t been emptied and was overflowing. The television wasn’t working but after calling the help number they suggested adjusting a switch which meant standing on the chair to reach it at the back. Not having staff on site is a drawback.

Our room was exactly as pictured on the web site. It was more spacious than we anticipated and was very clean. The hotel was centrally located and a quick walk from the train station.
We experienced some confusion with our communication with the hotel which caused some difficulties with the early check-in process that we had arranged, this was subsequently resolved.
Clean tidy and modern
Room 2 - extremely loud aircon unit outside my window kept me up most of the night
Room was well maintained and clean
Drainage smell in bathroom was very off putting, dirty closed down buildings to look out on, noisy at night with people and cars passing by...breakfast was very sparing, need to get there early as don't seemed to be restocked too often, if at all
Great central location. Easy (unstaffed) access. Good size room. Very comfortable bed. Lovely shower room. All very clean.
Upgraded to a room with a balcony but not worth it - very small with a view of the building’s roof and nothing else.
The check in and help yourself to breakfastDecor was modern and cleanLovely shower Comfortable bedLocation in the centre so expect noise Parking few minutes walk. We used the one near Magnet pub @£3 for 24 hoursWould come again if we came to Boston
Blind let's the light in as there was a light on outside all night. It was bright all night in the room. Music playing most of the night outside in public places. We did have the window open as it was fairly warmThis didn't put me off as I don't sleep very well anyway but it could others.Suppose it depends on which room Could do with something to wipe the breakfast side after use
Fantastic clean rooms. Loved the lights in the bathroom. Very spacious. The breakfast was great and a great choice of items and thoughtfully takeaway cups were available. My only complaint is that the cups in the bedroom could be bigger or mugs. Great hotel. We will be back when we next do the marathon.
The Hotel was spotless and in a perfect location only complaint was when we got there main reception door was locked and we were unsure where to go a passer by told us there was an out of hours door around the corne, this would have been difficult to locate so better signage would be good, other than this Hotel was great .Staff on site ,housemaids and lady in breakfast room were lovely and very helpful great value for money
Really enjoyed my stay at The Stanley Hotel. It was VERY clean and modern, comfortable and safe. Will no doubt go back again to stay there.
Room was on the front of the hotel and was very noisy all night. Extremely hot but could not open windows due to noise. LED lighting did not work
There was a lot of dirt in the room, and sides hadn't been wiped down at all between guests. There was also a dirty towel in the wardrobe and one of the towels had a yellow mark on it which made me question if it had been washed? Spiderwebs were everywhere as well. The breakfast aspect is ok, it would have been nice to have some staff on as I literally didn't see a single staff member the entire time I was there, but I did speak to a lovely lady on the phone. I was also a bit annoyed I couldn't get in the front entrance and had to go all the way to the next street along to the side door. This was not sign posted and I had to call up someone (again she was very nice) to direct me. It was okay, but I wouldn't pay that much to go there again when I could get a better room, 24hr staff and a cooked breakfast for £10 extra down the road at The White Hart. Wish I booked there if I am honest! There wasn't even a proper kettle, it was tiny and FULL of limescale.
Clean and comfortable, but unstaffed while I was there. The front door code I was sent worked fine, but I was a little concerned that it was the same as for my room (and presumably others). The self-service breakfast was pretty basic, but as I wasn't expecting any breakfast, I'm not complaining. Location was good, almost right in the town centre.
Clean room with balcony.
I didn't see a single member of staff the entire time I was there.
Booked for a business booking, guys were very happy with the place. Clean, as described and very reasonably priced. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming. Thank you!
Very spacious room with a massive tv massive shower. The led lights are a nice touch. Each room has its own wifi.
Unfortunately are room was directly next to a noisy generator it did turn off around midnight. I believe we were over a pub as there was loud music until around 11:30. The only disappointment of this hotel is out of the hotels control and that was the noise.

Location good for amenities. Modern looking. Easy access.
Room this time on our stay was smaller and lacking facilities we had on our last stay no kitchenetteDressing table area mirror too high to see in when sat on chair and no lighting making it difficult to use the dressing area.Bagging of doors from 6-7am
Location was great. The staff member that called me to give me info was super friendly.
Very noisy. Could hear all other guests walking, talking, their tvs etc. Also our toilet still he'd someone's excrement in it when we got there. I had to buy cleaning products and clean it myself.
