Pros +
- Friendly staff. Good breakfast
- The staff were very helpful
- The hotel was very accommodating, I had a late train and got in well after their reception closed but the night porter let me in. I found a lovely, warm, cosy room waiting for me to crash straight into bed, with a nice hot shower in the morning before I continued my journey. Exactly what I needed for an overnight interchange at Crewe station.
Cons -
- A little bit dated
- The bed was a little hard, the shower was on the small side
- The room opened straight onto the dining area so there was a little noise early in the morning from something being set up -- didn't bother me but soft sleepers may get woken.

I stayed in the hotel for a week. The staff are friendly and there is an opportunity to have breakfast and Sunday lunch, too. If you need anything for your room, such as toilet paper or soup, the staff will supply it immediately. The hotel is near the main street and not far from Lidl and B&M.
My room was on the first floor and my window was next to the hotel garden, where people could sit and talk. This was the worst problem for me. Especially on Saturday evening, people were outside until late at night, which disturbed my sleep.
Location- price - slept well -very quiet
Location staff and breakfast and quiet
Location good for town and station. A warm welcome was received. Breakfast very good but no evening meals. No problem for us to store our bicycles in the hotel.
Cleanliness of hotel and friendly staff
The breakfast was good for quantity but quality could have been better. Not real orange juice, slightly stewed tea, soggy toast and hard bacon which had obviously been cooked and kept warm some time.
Excellent welcome upon arrival, genuinely very helpful, directions to room sound, good advice about where to go in town, one lovely lady
Good breakfast, handy for the station, adequate facilities
Radiator in the room was not adjustable and was on for long periods throughout the night. That's probably ok in winter, but not so good at the end of April.
Sharron was an awesome hostess. She helped me search for a fuse for my power converter and even had a box of spares other people had left for me to search through. She and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home.
I didn't get enough steps walking from the train or to supper or the taxi next morning.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Small but clean room. Comfy bed and hot shower. Lovely old building with internal structures.
It was a bit of a struggle as a solo traveller to navigate the stairs and hallways with a dog and luggage but we managed.
Staff were friendly and polite and helpful breakfast was. Great and the room was great clean
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, clean and homely hotel. Great breakfast. Was our second time we stopped. Came back as such a nice experience the first time.
Liked everything.
The location was perfect for what we needed. Friendly receptionist.
The bedroom carpet had some stains on it and the shower wasn’t the best. There was a burn in the duvet cover.
Location, Friendly Staff. Secure and safe. Clean rooms
Doors were very loud at closing. No handle on the inside of our door making it difficult to open with the latch. No plugs sockets by the bed making it difficult to charge the phone at night.
Very welcoming, very helpful on finding us an evening meal. The room was amazing value for money Breakfast was very good
The shower was very slow but that was all
Good location, lovely friendly staff and easy parking. The hotel was clean.. We just needed a stop off for 1 night on our way home and it suited well enough, but the hotel was quite dated and in need of some tlc.
The beds were uncomfortable. Breakfast was serviceable with reasonable choices, however some of the cooked breakfast was obviously preprepared and not cooked fresh for the sitting.
Food , drink and facilities were all good .
I usually stay in the big chain hotels when working away, so didn't know what to expect when staying here.I need not have worried, it was absolutely fine. Some say dated, but I found it very well maintained and spotlessly clean.Staff wonderful.
Feel like I am nit-picking here, but the mattress was very soft and very springy. Just sitting on it compressed it fully to the base.
