Very helpful landlord and very friendly, especially his dog! We were there for the beer festival on the Keighley and worth valley railway and we’re 15 minutes from the station so that was pretty damn good.
Revolting
We walked into the bar. Greeted by a large dog that just followed us. The lady behind the bar took us to the room that was shabby at best. The beds & bedding looked like someone had just left. The shared bathroom:- wallpaper hanging off the walls. Filthy paintwork. Urine puddle on the floor.Unclean toilet. There was a common use kitchen that had door & draws hanging off or missing & washing up in the sink. The whole place felt more like a 'halfway house' than a hotel. We wouldnt have felt safe staying overnight so we dropped the key im the box & left.I realise the room was inexpensive but weve stayed in much better places recently in major northern cities that were to an exceptable standard. The description on the website was 'comfortable' there was nothing comfortable about the Kings head in Keighley & am surprised that its even listed on Booking. Com
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable. The atmosphere was great, and we were made to feel very welcome. The location was perfect for our requirements.
These are small points but there was only one cup in our room and no teaspoon.A sink in the room would have been a big help, as would a separate toilet to use if someone else was having a shower. There were no alcohol free beer options and no pen for the guest book!

Nothing. A door literally attacked me once I stepped in. Not everyone is pet friendly and manager goes oh he just wants to play with you
The place is stuffy, old and unkempt. Should not even be listed on booking . Com. I had to check out and sleep at travelodge as I could not sleep there
Co-operative staff.cheap resident and comfortable
The property is very good value and quite centrally located. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly.
The bathroom was shabby and the whole place felt a bit rough around the edges.
Excellent value for money, friendly staff and customers. Room was clean and fresh. Bed very comfortable.
Cheap accommodation, but that's about all I can say for it.
Where do I start? It is a totally grotty, very run down pub that doesn't serve meals — the sort of place I (as a single female traveller) would not have touched with a bargepole if I knew what it was before I booked it. It's in a dodgy area of town that I would have preferred not to be in as well. Guy who runs it has an over-friendly, uncontrollable large dog that jumps on everyone; I'm not scared of dogs, but that is way beyond unprofessional, as is the entire character of the place. Room was shabby and stank of stale sweat even after having the window open all day. No washbasin in the room, and the shared bathroom was not very nice. Didn't use the shower, as it had a communal sponge and shower puff (artificial loofah) in it... from a hygiene perspective, UGHHH. The door of my room was extremely difficult to open (needed shoving or kicking most times) and the lock was difficult to operate as well — unnerving given how creepy the whole place was. Best I can say is, the bed was not too uncomfortable and the bedding was clean. Will not be staying there again and I don't recommend that anyone else should either. The whole establishment desperately needs total renovation or else (probably better and cheaper) demolition.
You cannot fault the place for the price. More than half price of its nearest competitors. Yes the decor is a bit tired but the rooms are a great size and I sleep like a baby when I stay here. The staff are great, so much so that I play chess with one of them, every time I stay!
Shared bathroom but I have never had any problems. The shower is hot and powerful. Never had anyone trying to interrupt/use the bathroom at the same time as me
I liked the staff, the bed was comfortable
The rooms need updating
No place for a king...
The room was distressed. Wallpaper was peeling from the wall. The curtains had ceased to meet. The lock on the door was faulty. The ceiling had damp stains. The divan bottom was stained too.In the bathroom the taps on the sink did not work. The carpet has been vacuumed badly. The bedding was clean. The shower was goodThere was no toilet paper. It was difficult to speak to the staff as they were overworked in the barThe noise from the bar permeated into the upstairs room.
Good value for money. Friendly staff, spacious room, off road parking, good location
Shared bathroom and kitchen were scruffy but OK
Great location and Freindly Staff. Shared Shower Room but No Problem as it's Huge. Staying there again Next Time in Town
Friendly and welcoming staff – we didn't need any help during our short stay, but I'm sure they'd have bent over backwards to help. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed, and being able to use the shared kitchen was a nice bonus. Parking at the back of the pub was also handy.
It's a run-down old pub and very tired – it looks genuinely terrible from the outside. The bathroom, while clean, was grotty, and our bedroom had definitely seen better days too. That said, given the low price compared to other nearby hotels (even the YHA), we'd happily book there again.
good size, clean bedding. access to kitchen with fridge and utensils good
double bed creaked on movement,1 single bed very soft and other could feel springs. no bedside lamps or decaf coffee
Staff very helpful. An inexpensive night in the town I wanted. Comfy bed. Clean.
The rooms and corridors were clean, but badly in need of TLC (paintwork etc). I don’t mind sharing a bathroom, but the fact that the only loo for the rooms was in the bathroom is likely to annoy others as well as me.
