Unfortunately 2 of the 3 restaurants were closed for our two night stay.
I had no hot water either in the evening or morning, on check out I mentioned this to reception who said they knew and would get the manager due to my dissatisfaction, I waited 20 mins and no manager appeared, I then told reception I’d have to leave and asked for domino to call me. 24 hrs later and still no call!Very bad form for a hotel priced as it is .Very disappointed in Swinton !!

The setting , beautiful decor great atmosphere
Food and drink service could improve
The staff were very professional and courteous. Excellent service and food. Quality of the hotel and the Spa was exceptional
Relaxing, great location, good food
Some staff seemed bit grumpy
Great location, impressive building, room very quiet, bed very very comfortable, spa / pool complex very nicely done. We also took a cookery class the following morning which was great !
Main part of hotel / hall is dated - could do with some re-styling to improve - repaint, new curtains. Also room was cold - had to call down and was told heating would come on at 5pm...
The property is beautiful and the spa facility is lovely. Staff is friendly and generally helpful. My issue was with the food service and staff. We ate in the restaurant and in the spa / club area and service was awful in both. At each meal, it was a minimum of 15 minutes before anyone came to our table -- regardless of the meal. We were not even offered water. At breakfast, it was almost impossible to get coffee in mornin
The house as a whole, and its grounds.
We had an industrial air vent outside our bedroom window which woke us very early. I raised this on checking out but was met with just an “I’m sorry”. At these prices, I would have expected a part refund or other gesture. We tried to order service on the evening of our arrival. Despite trying several times in the phone, there was no answer on the specific room service number, nor on reception. I had to leave the room to search for a member of staff to give them our order.

Hotel very good, for special occasions as is not cheap, but you get what you pay for
Comfortable and had charm
Had to request a room service. The spa facilities were excellent but was poorly staffed.
walks and birds
long delay on arrival - very slow
The location of Swinton Park is truly delightful, The Walled grounds and the wider estate an absolute must to visit. The hotel, a superb venue for a weekend break. Both Samual’s and the Terrace bar made for the excellent dining experience. Would almost certainly return to this venue….
Beautiful and relaxing
The spa was wonderful - it’s a small thing the beer wasn’t chilled enough! They’d also run out of all savoury snacks from the menu in spa. The waiter was kind enough to go and locate some crisps for us which we very much appreciated!
Everything ! Gorgeous setting, grounds, room.Beautiful spa Welcomed dogs x Just perfect for a night away
The burger in the restaurant wasn’t as good as the other food, a little point really because every perfect x
Beautifully located on lovely grounds, very nice bedroom
There were understaffed, the room wasn’t cleaned till later in the day and there was a long wait for breakfast. Might have been unlucky.
We absolutely loved Swinton Park, the staff were above and beyond helpful, made us feel so welcome. The spa is fabulous, the highlight of our trip was being able to swim in the lake, totally glorious and not to be missed!
I have nothing to write in here because Swinton Park was everything we hoped it would be and more!
