Everything here is fabulous. As I got out of my car and headed to check in , a member of staff came to welcome me and take my case. The receptionist was lovely and she took me to my room and gave me all the details I needed. The room was pretty and comfortable with thoughtful details to make sure I had a lovely stay. I enjoyed a late lunch in Clocktower. I began with a cocktail while I checked the menu. The waiting staff were brilliant and my lunch was delicious..Heading out for a walk in the grounds, I was given a map and advice on routes and was kindly welcomed back after I'd done my 10000 steps by the very kind guy at reception.Steven, in the spa, exceeded all of my expectations, and this made the most outstanding difference to my stay. The rooftop spa was a fantastic experience, and the facilities are wonderful. I was really grateful to the spa staff for their attentive service. After I enjoyed a delicious Yorshire breakfast, I was treated to a little tour of the Chapel and history of the hotel by Richard.I really do hope to come back and stay soon.
Having to leave ?
Brilliant facilities and staff were very friendly
We booked to have 1 double bed but ended up getting two singles pushed together
The access to outdoor space from your room, a wonderful spa.
The room could of been cleaned better
Staff were very polite and helpfulFull Yorkshire Bfast was hot fresh and good quality
The continental bfast variety of Fruit was poor
Comfortable, nice pool and sauna. Large bed and room
Everything was fantastic room, food and staff. It was a treat for my mum's birthday she loved it will be recommending it to everybody?
we did have a few fruit flies in the bar area and one decided to go in my mum's drink but we were told by a staff member that the problem was going to be sorted the next day .
Lovely views. Staff was lovely.
Pricey to go to rooftop spa. And also if you pay cash for drinks at the bar the guy told me they don't give you change which is a bit bizarre. And they take a £50 fee off your bank card on arrival which i never got told about prior for the visit.
Property, staff & food were exceptionalBeautiful Hotel grounds
Noisy airconNoise transfer between roomslow water pressure
Beautiful large property with connected spa and restaurant facilities.
Very well staffed and pleasant staff attentive staff, beautiful hotel and grounds, well looked after, luxurious rooms with luxurious selection of soap and body lotions provided.
We enjoyed the stay, however we had a particularly long wait on both breakfast and dinner, we felt the food and drink menus were priced particularly high, and the turkey roast dinner was substandard in my opinion, albeit my partners meal was lovely. Beautiful well kept hotel and grounds, however I have had better stays elsewhere for half the price. It would have been more agreeable if the whole spa was included within the price of the stay, rather than at an additional cost of £160 for 4 hours. The included pool was particularly cool, and the sauna not particularly hot which was undeniably a little bit of a let down.
It’s was absolutely beautiful, lovely rooms with comfy beds and great food
The fridge in the room didn’t work
Everything about this place is sheer class, it's relatively expensive sure but I don't begreudge a penny because it was so good in every respect. Location, room, facilities, cleanliness, food, service from exellent staff all top drawer.
Can't fault it, and I normally find something to grumble about!
The breakfast was good
Booked for 2 people. They only had booking for me. I booked with booking.com and never had this problem before.
Lovely location
Breakfast wasn’t great, burnt granola egg shell in the poached eggs and I’m still waiting for my toast. A lot of staff standing around talking very un helpful. Lead receptionist particularly snooty.
The rooftop Spa was wonderful to just sit and unwind everything.
The Sliders in the room what you wear for the Spa.
Quiet and peaceful
Food at the clocktower was very bland, I ordered the herb crusted cod and it didn't taste of anything. The staff forgot we were there. Has to ask to order, ask for cutlery and ask for a desert menu. Bed was too soft but thats personal preference again. Long hairs in shower on wall.
