    Pros +

    • A very comfortable room, clean and a nice modern shower room. Great location in the centre of Harrogate.
    • Rooms and location amazing and probably the best breakfast i have ever had Staff were very friendly and helpful
    • We booked an executive room, and it was large and very clean.

    Cons -

    • No negatives.
    • We could have done with more sugar on hospitality tray
    • Parking issues. My wife is disabled so on arrival, we parked in a disabled parking bay to be told we couldn't park there it was "reserved" even though there was a notice on reception stating no reservations accepted Parking offered first come first served so we were basically frog marched out of the parking space. After Parking somewhere else & having to walk back with our luggage having received confirmation we could check inn from 15.00 we were told the room was not ready come back at 16.00. I showed the message from the hotel then suddenly our room was ready. By this time after the reception staff had stopped us parking in an empty parking bay, having to carry luggage to the hotel to be told we couldn't check inn by staff who were sitting behind a desk with no interest in us we were not happy with the hotel. On check out I was asked how was our stay I responded O.K. then was questioned "why ok not good" & informed he was a supervisor so I told him of the issue, which he began to defend their actions with no intention of helping. Perhaps if your not able to accept criticism don't ask for it ! I would have said nothing if he hadn't prompted me.

    Can’t think of anything

All of the staff were amazing. Great location

The water pressure wasn’t great in the shower. And once we’d ran the hot tap, all we got was hot water even when turned to cold.

A good breakfast with options to have hot or cold. Friendly efficient staff.

    Everything was fine.

    Restaurant and restaurant staff

The room was appalling. The bed was very small and uncomfortable but the bathroom was disgraceful, it was laughable how small it was, I had to dry myself in the bedroom, ridiculous.

Location is in the centre of town so ideal for most venues

Parking … nowhere to unload your case if travelling by car unless you block the road …

    8GeoffPosted on: 2-18-2026

Location close to station and stray

Initially we had a room that was very cold; but this was remedied immediately by reception allocating us another room. Thank you Ollie & Dylan. Restaurant excellent and staff good .

    9PeterPosted on: 2-17-2026

Large comfortable room, clean, quiet, great location - short walk from station, close to Turkish Baths, Betty's and Pump Room. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.

    10EleanorPosted on: 2-17-2026

The hotel was beautifully set with great views and so central which was great for enjoying the town in a relaxed way. The room was spacious and comfortable and the general environment was welcoming as well as impressive.

Nothing really, we'd love to try the breakfast so we'll see if it's in our budget next time.

Great location and very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast

Room slightly dated but was comfortable and clean

    8DavidPosted on: 2-16-2026

We opted for a junior suite which was spacious with a separate living room area, and a wonderful en-suite. The cleanliness of both the room and hotel in general was faultless. The breakfast provided in the Sky lounge was superb with views across the city, and both the hotel reception staff and the team serving breakfast were very friendly and polite.

Unfortunately, the shower was very poor as it simply lacked any pressure, which was a shame as the en-suite is superb. Separate floor heaters were provided as the bedroom was quite chilly, though they had to be placed on a hard surface (dressing table) as they wouldn't operate on the floor carpet due to a safety switch. This did feel quite dangerous as there was simply no where else to place them.

Central location, beautiful big room, lovely deco and very clean. Super breakfast too!

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but the heat in the room was a little uncomfortable - as it was a very cold weekend when we visited, the hotel was lovely and warm but during the night the room was so hot we had to open the window. The other point was limited parking, although we were lucky enough to eventually get a spot once people had finished dining at the Pickled Sprout restaurant.
