The coziness and the breakfast.

Although we were promised free parking, this turned out not to be the case and we had to pay five pounds for overnight parking. A little disingenuous!

Beds and comfort were excellent - all very very clean. View could have been better but we were happy. Would have liked a small fridge for milk,water,soft drinks and the plumbing needed to be checked in the shower recess - early doors due to renovations.OVERALL we LOVED our stay with you!!

Cosy bedroom was great but just needs another half a foot at the end of the bed - understand this can’t be changed. Tap in bathroom a little stiff to use and had a drip.

My young daughter and I had a fantastic stay here. A highlight was George who was very kind and welcoming - like nothing was too much trouble for him and he gave the place an easy going, relaxed and cozy atmosphere. He was very good with my 6 year old and let us pet his adorable dog Bruce! He made a special effort to make a particular pizza for my picky eating daughter, took care of our bikes, gave restaurant recommendations and the list goes on....The view from the room window was nice, very relaxing we could hear the ocean. The bar had a good mix of drinks and the breakfast was amazing.

A lovely hotel we had a cozy sea view room. It was a lovely little room with everything in you needed. We didn't need a bigger room as we were only sleeping in it. The hotel is lovely and situated in North Bay it has a little car park just round the corner. We booked breakfast and it was absolutely delicious with fruit, cereal and yogurt, full English breakfast, toast, croissant and muffins available definitely a good choice

Room was small.

The hotel is excellent, spotlessly clean and the staff are absolutely lovely. It is in a great location and the breakfast was delicious. I thoroughly recommend it. We had a sea view room.

Great location with on site parking. Great decor clean and fresh. Front of house staff very welcoming and accommodating.

Small sink in the bathroom when a full size would have fitted. No shelving by sink for toiletries.

We booked the Cozy Double Room with Sea View and the room was great and exactly like the picture posted. It was a really nice room and close to the sea while also close enough to the main attractions for the amusements. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

The room was really nice with a great view over Scarborough Bay. All nicely decorated throughout the hotel. The bar area was good with a choice of games to play-draughts, chess, dominoes etc. Staff friendly and helpful. All in all a good experience. Car parking area good

Few little niggles. The blinds in our room were broken which meant that we had too much light at night because we had a street light directly outside. I think if it were a guest that broke them you should be ashamed for not reporting it. Only one chair in the room where the room I thought I had booked had two. Shower was difficult to get into. Breakfast was overcooked. Despite the niggles we would definitely stay here again

The staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean and tidy with recently refurbished furniture and carpets. We took advantage of the pizza and beer on offer before the concert and the pizza was really good.Parking was straightforward with plenty places out front. Great location and lovely sea views. Breakfast was of a good standard.

Only draw back was the lack of toiletries with the only soap being a bottle in the shower there was no hand soap. Shower was nice but a big for the cubical.

Friendly staff, clean facilities,good location.Nice breakfast plenty of choice .Give us ticket to park on the street too .Would get there early as limited parking spaces during busy times .

Excellent location.good for local restaurants and pubs.only a 15 minutes walk into the centre of scarborough.rooms were excellent clean.just been refurbished so very nicely decorated.reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Bed mattress was soft and springey.no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries.

Lovely clean room with comfortable Whole hotel was nicely decorated and liked pretty mugs and complimentary biscuits.

No issues but room was small.Not much space between the bed and dressing table.No issue for us as we spent minimal time in the room.

It is a small hotel but very clean and very helpful staff. The rooms are average size but very clean and immaculate. The location is decent with sea view. It is very good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Oh my goodness where do I start? Clarence Gardens had everything … from the very start at Reception the staff at this Hotel were so lovely. Many recommendations and advice and they were always there if we needed them. We had a most beautiful room (26) pictures in my review … it was like walking into a room and having the sea as an infinity pool - and we were so lucky that the sea was like a mill pond whilst we were there. Beautiful bay window where I just sat and watched the sea do its thing and I felt my shoulders drop and relax as i did so. Comfortable bed with one hard pillow and one soft ( I tried to sneak that one away but thought I’d better not … it was so comfortable)Selection of tea and coffee if you wanted to prepare a drink.Bathroom was lovely and the shower was perfect - and the Hotel includes shampoo/bodywash and conditioner and soap - and of course towels; just all you need. Breakfast was buffet style with a great selection as well as the usual continental style … I had a bit of everything because I’m greedy! Ha! Seriously - if I’m going to give a review, I had best try it all hadn’t I? I love going away and having a breakfast as we don’t do this at home, so I indulged in cereal, toast and marmalade and a cooked breakfast - things we don’t have at home.The position of the hotel was perfect and the view from our window was magical.Staff were incredibly friendly and go above and beyond beyond to ensure your stay is without complaint. We will 100% be back ..
