Very pleasant staff and good breakfast

Our room at the front was quite noisy with traffic and people coming and going so if we stayed again I would request a room at the back . Can¿t do much about noisy seagulls !! We would have preferred twin beds as the bed was quite small

Friendly, convenient,comfortable, but room(210) too hot, even with the fan on. Rooms not cleaned because of epidemic. We had 2 rooms, one for 2 adults, one for mother & child.

There was NO WiFi, even though the brochure said there was. I had to sit outside to connect.

Location was good. I liked the choice of breakfast. Friendly staff.

The Staff were lovely,made you welcome and helpful. The room was nice and warm,comfortable twin beds. Plenty of tea and Coffee etc. The cooked breakfast was outstanding,plenty of toast offered and hot drinks. Just a wonderful place to stay, Thank you Cumberland Hotel.

Nothing could have made it any better,it was just perfect.

Good location

The room looked a little tired and out dated although the bed was very comfortable. The TV and kettle were was placed on the dressing table which made it impossible to use the dressing table to get ready. Couldn’t move either as the plugs were behind the wardrobe!

The hotel was spotless and very welcoming nice docor the staff was very friendly and helpful the lady behind the bar was helpful but don’t think she likes to smile not very welcoming room was lovely and warm pillows were very comfortable just what s needed after walking miles

The bed was bit firm but still comfortable still slept very well

The room was too warm for us even with the radiator off, but it hasn’t put us off this hotel.

Excellent staff, so friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, smelled fresh and great shower. Fab location and parking easy, skipped breakfast so can't comment. Staying Saturday to sunday meant slightly later check out - ideal! Amazing price compared to others we've stayed at.Would definitely recommended and shall return.

Only personal preference and rare to find in twin rooms - but for an optional twin with x2 double or 3/4 beds rather than single one for extra comfort. For the price and great everything else can't complain!

Location is good as it is only a gentle incline from the Valley Bridge. All the staff have been absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Our room was warm, we were visiting in November, but the windows open a little so were able to regulate the temperature quite well. The beds were very comfortableand the bathrooms were absolutely fine, so all in all a really good little place to stay.

The only downside to this property I would say, would be that the walls are a little thin. We could hear next door’s television and conversation very well indeed! I think there is generally an older Clee so it’s not like they were partying until three in the morning, so this was not a problem.

Room cold, had to turn on radiator in bathroom approx 2 hrs for room to warm. We were on the lower floor, underneath the function room and heard the music at night....this hotel caters mainly for coach parties, I was the youngest one there ! And I'm 65.....breakfast was served 8-9am, so the coach party could be ready for any outings....not a choice of coffee, instant coffee only ! Would not return to this hotel Coach parties get preferential treatment, not bothered about ' Joe Bloggs'

Rude staff in dining room. Waited 30 mins before anyone took our order. Was quite rude when we tried to get some attention. Rooms outdated.

Nobody came to take order for dessert even though meal booked. Also no tea offered at breakfast, no one came near to order some

I like the position of the hotel, near South Cliff top - fairly quiet area but close enough to beach and shops. Very clean, nice double bedroom with all facilities.

Very very warm in bedroom, even with windows open - but there was a fan in the wardrobe. One side of mattress sloped down slightly. Paid for an evening meal which was delicious but very few vegetables on the plate (2 slices of carrot and half a dozen cubes of parsnip)
