The Crescent Hotel is a Grade II listed building, located in the center of Scarborough and 10 minutes’ walk from South Bay Beach. The hotel overlooks the pleasant Crescent Gardens. Fresh local seafood and prime Yorkshire steaks are served in the award-winning Reflections Restaurant. A less formal dining experience is offered in the carvery, which features roast beef, Yorkshire puddings and steak and kidney pie. Home-cooked crisps are served in the bar, which can be found on the ground floor. A private bathroom, flat-screen LCD TV and 100% goose-down quilts are featured in all rooms at The Crescent. Brunswick Shopping Center is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and the opening to North York Moors National Park is only a 15-minute drive. Scarborough Railway Station and Stephen Joseph Theater are both a 5-minute walk.

Breakfast excellent Location spot on
Bad to park
Great location in central Scarborough, parking nearby (I got a spot right outside and could see my car from my room). Loved my room with a great view and comfortable bed. Front of house staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely cooked breakfast. Would happily stay again.
At my age I prefer a walk in shower. Stepping over the bath can be a bit tricky.
Very friendly staff. Good food and comfortable room.
Lovely big room great location. Wonderful shortbread biscuits
Nice evening meal (shared.) Although it was like a ghost town. We were the only ones in there. The room was very clean. The TV and WiFi worked.
I didn't like the loads of staircases and the heavy fire doors Even for someone reasonably fit like me I struggled with my bags and case with the heavy doors slamming shut. The loos downstairs are all up and down staircases. The room was too hot. I had to open the window and put the fan on full blast There was only a tiny bar of soap. I'd rather have some nice toiletries rather than packets of milk. There was an ironing board. I don't see the point of them anymore as most people bring non-iron clothes. The decor of the room was dated. Rather than have funny art pictures on the wall, guests are more concerned if the batteries in the TV gadget work or if the light bulbs are replaced.
Was breakfast was ok until the morning we left
The morning we we’re leaving we we’re about to sit at a table but then asked not to due to being two of us so a table was pull out of a row of four next to the door way of the way in and out of staff fetching things to the tables I was not happy at all
Staff cheerful and friendly Good selection of breakfast dishes Large comfortable bedrooms Close to shops and bars Would stay again
Tasty food . Evening meal nice but only option was a set menu of 2 or 3 courses which seemed a little expensive , would prefer a free choice . Snacks in bottom bar were both tasty and priced well. Breakfast was variable . First day we waited a long time then I was given the wrong hot meal which was quickly changed but bacon was overcooked and fried egg was hard . Second breakfast was served much more quickly and was tasty and hot . Room was really nice, comfy bed , warm temperature , clean and good selection on drinks tray.
Service at times was slow. Toast was brought right at beginning of breakfast which meant it was cold by the time it was eaten . A nozzle on the hairdryer would be helpful also a socket near the mirror would be useful .
It was in a good location within easy walking distance to the town, and both north and south bays. The staff were very welcoming. Everywhere was clean and tastefully decorated and the food was excellent.
