Lifts not working and could be cleaner in the dining room and outside tables dirty

Spa has a nice range of facilities to suit most people with helpful staff.

No hot chocolate - waiting for stock to arrive. Room showing signs of neglect - bed upholstery damage, window catches damaged , cold water was warm?

Location was excellent

We had to ask for the carpet to be hoovered, as there was food on the floor from the previous people. They did they stright away which was good.

Room was lovely, bar area was nice to eat in, breakfast was really nice staff friendly

The pool was a little too cold for us

We liked everything about the hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were very nice also the bed was really comfy. Every part was very clean it was lovly to stay and we will certainly be back.

Nice welcome. Friendly staff throughout the stay. Hotel was clean and modern while retaining the old charm of the building. Will recommend and also look to use again in the future for nights around Scarborough and Filey

Most staff wasn't welcoming, they have no idea what costumer service is. the sauna was dirty, the water was cold.

Enjoyed the stay. Spacious bedroom.

My partner tried out the jacuzzi and said he liked it, but the pool was very cold. The cold tap had hot water coming from it, and the view wasn't too good. Didn't have a lot of milk, and when we rang down for some. They didn't bring any up. We also asked for clean towels and was told we weren't allowed any on a 2 day stay

Swimming pool etc was clean. Breakfast was ok at best.

The hotel is very tired looking and our room smelt if damp and smoke.

The staff were really helpful and moved our room straightaway! The view from the room and the location is great.

Sadly the spa facilities have gone downhill in the last few years. Now the steam room smells like sewage/mould and there’s a lot of mould in the showers. Also the jacuzzi is not hot enough and the chlorine is so strong everyone was having to leave after a minute - everyone was complaining that their eyes were stinging. They have also closed off the foot spa and some of the lights in the saunas were broken - one sauna is totally dark now. It’s a shame as I have been going for ten years but the spa area has really gone downhill.

All thfacilities in the hotel nice clean rooms. Cleaned every day. Rooms very spacious. Good value for money.

The breakfasts were poor only ate 1 breakfast during our stay. The staff were not very socialable at all. The breakfast were poor only had 1 during stay.

Good location for seeing an act at the spa. We had a sea view and parking was cheap. The staff were all friendly.

The carpets were filthy and thin, the furniture dated, mattress was lumpy, no drinking water in the room, the shower didn't work properly, the room wasn't very clean. The breakfast was very basic and cheap. Had lunch and the salad was past its best. It was all around pretty disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The spa didn't have robes or slippers for hire, no beds to relax on so it was a quick visit down there, the Jacuzzi was so strong with chlorine that my eye was burning so I couldn't stay in. All a bit poor really.
