    Pros +

    • Loved the location, the staff were amazing. Its great that you can park.Dogs are so welcome. The lounge area is lovely. The bar area is great.. The restaurant looked great, but we didnt eat in during our visit. We will when we stay agin
    • The location was fantastic for us and the hotel was excellent for the price. 8 don't expect a proper coffee machine and all toiletries etc for the price we paid.
    • Loved the fact that we could have our dog anywhere in the hotel and the room was bigger than expected.

    Cons -

    • The cosy room was great, small but so clean, well decorated and everything we needed. The bed was clean but it was a bit small for us. We will get a small double next time we stay.
    • This is not a problem, just a suggestion that there is a clear instruction about parking when you book. The site does say about getting a pass but think it would be explained in full, maybe a screenshot of the streets that you can park in with the pass) so you know where to park and then pop to the hotel for the pass.
    • The downside was the t.v and its signal, because we were in the loft suite, it didnt always get the channels we were after, after being out for the day.

The location was lovely, but unfortunately we didn't have a sea view which would have been nice, but our room was clean and comfortable and lovely and warm. Breakfast was tasty and a good variety to choose from.

Close to the front. Traditional old building. Cosy lounge and good facilities. In general the staff were polite.

The tv in the room wouldn’t stay on. One of the male staff on check in was a bit short with my wife when she went to ask if the room was ready. Not as bad as Basil Fawlty, but she was taken aback by his abruptness.

Absolutely gorgeous room with lovely sea view. Very spacious and beautifully clean. Shower was amazing. Great breakfast and great evening meal.

Not good for parking in the area

Location and staffDog friendly although I did not take my dog

Room was very small and rather tired

How close to the beach and shops, plenty of dog walking areas. It's definitely amazing to be able to bring our 2 dogs.

I really enjoyed the breakfast, it was different to the usual buffet breakfast normally served at other hotels

The only issue was that the warm selection was always empty and you had to ask for it being refilled. My husband prefers a full English, so it wasn't his cup of tea.

    7ChristinePosted on: 2-5-2026

The breakfast would have been excellent if it had been kept stocked up on. No scrambled eggs, waited 10 mins for bacon.

the rooms were very very hot. Glad I didnt bring my dog

Welcoming and helpful staff. Great location and dog friendly like no other place. Have been before and will come back and recommend to others. Thank you.

Super easy to check in with the digital screens. Staff were really lovely, helpful and available whenever we needed them. Our sea-view room was a great size, had a massive super comfy bed and a large clean shower wit great water pressure. The location is spot on - right by the beautiful bridge and a 2 min walk to the beach. The dog toy and snuggly blanket was a wonderful touch that we really appreciated.

Nothing, it was fab in every way.

Good location, dog friendly, contemporary decoration

How thin the walls are and how we could therefore hear the couple next door come in drunk at 2am and then commence vigorous and vocal ‘activities’ for over an hour. THEN be woken by one of them periodically crying out and moaning in what one can only assume was some drug related comedown through the rest of the early hours before we gave up and got up and started the day.

The large bed, crisp clean bedding, fresh white towels.and friendly staff. The locacation for the town centre and seafront was ideal,Parking was not an issue but could be during busy holiday periods.

We have stayed here before, and at the sister hotel in the Peak District. Feels like a ski lodge!

We booked the Boot Room.. what was advertised as a double bed was actually a 3/4. No room to put bags down. Very very small! But they did move us to a perfect room the next day!
