Village Hotel Birmingham Walsall

The swimming and spa facilities were very good and opened early which was beneficial. Location near the M6 was good. Breakfast had a good selection.

Paid for a club room and received a non-club disabled room. Bed was uncomfortable, bathroom was very tired and needs renovating (grouting is unclean), carpet was dirty and the window didn’t close properly so outside traffic could be heard. Staff (mostly) weren’t very helpful and seemed uninterested in assisting.

Terrible and smelly and dirty...

nothing as i only stayed 5 mins before i left. the room smelt of weed, i asked for a new room and i was refused and left straight away

The sleep after moving us 4 rooms

The fact I asked for celebratory room also club room got standard room no hath in 2 3rd one was filthy 4th room was filthy the man on reception had to clean it at 10pm after partner had just came out of hospital after surgery on his testicle and went from 3rd floor to 1 St to 2nd wasnt ideal

Extortionate prices for food and breakfast finished at 9am. Nobody said

The rooms are clean & comfortable

The dining area is really loud the booking process was a nightmare with no help from anyone &was charged before any of the party had arrived when I needed to cancel at least one of the rooms & no chance of a refund available

Very central for whar i wanted

Had to wait around one hour for my desert after my meal in the evening and it was only ice cream

10/10 overall. Room was modern, comfy and great value for your money. Food was exceptional and cooked to perfection! Beer was excellent and tasted great.

The comfortable bed was the highlight of the stay

When calling the hotel asking if it was possible to arrive for an early 1pm check-in, the reception staff was very vague with the info, but we took the chance and arrived early.Upon arrival no one greeted us, we had to approach a very uninterested team of 3 and somewhat rude staff members, explaining our wish to check in at an earlier time. We were told there was no rooms available and 'we would be informed when a room becomes available". We even had to ask where we should sit and wait. At this stage I just knew that this gentleman wasn't to be trusted. As it turns out I realised he was at the end of his shift and simply could't wait to leave. We waited for over an hour. I then approached the new reception staff and immediately got given a room. The new reception staff member confirmed that previous info was incorrectly dealt with. Sadly I cannot remember the kind and professional staff member as he is the one that is worthy of 10 stars. The hotel is advertising the state of the art gym and excellent facilities. It's the most depressing gym I've ever visited! Breakfast wasn't even offered. So we decided to eat elsewhere in the morning. The carpet in the room was dirty and dusty!

It was only okay.

It was okay but heating not working. Had to get someone to bring up a portable heater.Was told someone would be in touch about a partial refund but no one contacted me.I had to call up, then email, which finally led to a reply.

Pleasant

Was double charged for room service. Was assured it would be removed from my bill at checkout, still hasn't been actioned a week later and haven't answered my email query.

Well positioned for Travel along the M6 Midlands Corridor.Close to the Station.Bit of advice ..if you are visiting Birmingham.Use Walsall Train station £3 for all day Parking £6 return on train.much cheaper than being stuck in Traffic plus congestion charge and expensive car Parking.And ideal for watching Shows.Football etc.As the last train leaves after 11pm.Spa,Gym etc ars all very good.Breakfast is separate and Buffet style. Car park free at weekends.£5 during week per day.

Very busy Hotel and can get a Noisy crowd in for big football games as the restaurant and sports bar are together.

I was at the front ov the building so it was good that I could see my car out ov the top floor window s

The pillow s was flat the shower was constantly aving Warter leaking out ov it all night there was burns over the desk the carpet was not in very good condition the shower glass certain was dirt you the window s was not in good condition

The staff were very helpful on arrival as it was our first stay. The room was clean, the shower was powerful and the bed was really comfortable.

No option for decaffeinated hot drinks in the room.

The location is good for getting on and off the motorway.

My room was dirty with ketchup stuck to the walls, scuffs all over the walls, makeup marks everywhere and litter on the floor. The bath trim had fallen off and just left on the bathroom floor.

Good value. Easy access. Good night sleep

Bathrooms and bedrooms starting to look a bit tired.
