Booked for spa however spa not open through the week, mentioned on check in however was told it states that on booking which I checked and it doesn’t it states pay separately , wasn’t offered anything complimentary to make up for this and purpose of stay was for the spa. Very disappointing with staff customer service . Stairs not available to use stated ‘fire exit only’ room very small and compact very old fashioned and dated but advertised as a 5 star hotel this was far from it! Reception and restaurant visually lovely but rooms a easy 3 star , no hand wash in the bathroom , bath mat dirty , radiator not hot , very disappointing and wud not recommend

The reception areas and bar and restaurant were nicely decorated for Christmas, the spa was nice.. our room had a nice view, it was clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The rooms could do with an update, the bathroom and tea/ coffee facilities were a bit outdated. The room was quite cold.

Disappointing

Kettle in the room didn't work and neither did the phone to contact someone to tell them so we had to walk back to reception to explain and ask for a replacement kettleOrdered the mint choc chip cocktail (winter special) staff member look rather unimpressed as she didn't know how to make it so had to get the instruction manual out - she then proceeded to ask another staff member for dark chocolate as she didn't have any, when the other staff member said he would go and get some I overheard the unimpressed staff member say "I'll just use white chocolate as she (referring to my wife who ordered it) won't know what it should be" leaving me less than impressed!

the ac in room 12 was very noisy through the night finally gave up trying to sleep at 6am with it!

We had our wedding at 315, every single member of staff was efficient and friendly. Particularly Anastajia who was fantastic, our wedding coordinator. The whole day went without a glitch, the food was amazing and hot, everyone has commented on what a fabulous place it was

Bed was comfortable. It was quiet.

Black mould in shower. Light not working above bathroom mirror. Shower head loose. Waitress at breakfast was so unfriendly I felt uncomfortable. Her attitude was terrible. It improved as the day went on and as a group of friends we made light of it even though everyone was very aware of the bad attitude.

Easy to find, friendly staff, nice room and lovely food.

We turned up just before 8 and had booked a table for the evening at 8. When we'd sat down the staff gave us time to look at the menu but then explained that the kitchen was closing so we needed to make quick decisions. Wasn't a big problem at all, but just felt a little rushed (and confusing as I think I could have booked a later table still).

Great country location yet right on the edge of town for convenience. Lots of car parking available. The property is tastefully modernised inside and has been very well done. The standout is possibly the food, proper cheffing going on here.

Warm, spacious, comfortable bed, nice big bathroom but most importantly clean & peaceful.

Male staff member who seemed to be barman, waiter, reception and breakfast server. Despite being perpetual motion nothing was too much trouble

The staff were amazing, Thank you Jordan for your service ! The place was clean, tidy and the food was amazing. A great choice of breakfast and very good value for money.

The Wifi in Room 18 which was at the back of the facility was very poor. The Wifi in the main building was fine. The TV in the room could really do with an upgrade.

Good breakfast. Good air conditioning. Good shower.

My room was way back in the corner. Had to navigate through a labyrinth to reach there. It would be great if the host can navigate or escort.

The staff are not very welcoming, we felt like we was in the way there was a wedding reception on ! Very loud some of the reception guests were banging on our windows of our room. We could hear the music till the small hours. The staff seemed more interested in the wedding party than other guests ( I think it’s all about money) rather than other guests stays ! If management read this feel free to contact me ! Time to take a look at yourselves! Room 7. Loo roll holder ! Toilet pan ! Curtains! Curtain Pelmet ! Don’t you have a maintenance team ? Breakfast. Bland , wasn’t asked how would you like your eggs or any marmalade or jams as stated in your menu. Sour faced staff ! Glad to leave

Very clean and lovely decor

I didn’t know there was a wedding on the night I booked.It was very noisy until very late.Had I known I wouldn’t have booked there (since I needed the sleep as I wasAway for work).

Even though the room was clean it’s was worn only 1 out of the two windows opened there was no toilet roll holder one of the bed side lamps was loose and the mattress was very very hard. The breakfast was minimal to say the least paying £234 was over priced for what you get as a stay pretty disappointed overall but wouldn’t say disastrous

Well situated, just outside Huddersfield, plenty of parking, good breakfast included.
