Cambridge Hotel

Room was really warm and clean . Everything you want for a overnight,as booked for a double bed and found a single bed as well as a double..Really happy with facilities,and enjoy staying once a month there

The breakfast buffet was only £6-7 per person, really decent full English. The room service food was surprisingly tasty considering how cheap it all was (me and my boyfriend were fed for £13, food came straight to the room). The mattress was very comfy, two pillows provided per person. If I ever find myself in Huddersfield again I will be booking the same hotel for sure. The room was very clean including all the towels and sheets. The reception staff were patient, helpful, welcoming and very polite. 10 minute walk from the centre of Huddersfield and train station with an easily walkable route.

The Internet, the car park

The TV not connecting to the Internet.. hence couldn't use YouTube or watch what I would have preferred.

Everything. Reception was very warm but also very business-like and very efficient. It appeared that my online request for breakfast had not been actioned. However, it was no problem and I was able to order and pay at reception, there and then.Bonus, I was advised that there was also an in-house restaurant facility with an opportunity for room service. The menus were in my room: I chose Chicken Curry and one portion of vanilla ice-cream. The meal was perfect for my tastes, was brought to my room within about 20 minutes, as estimated and was excellent value. The ice cream went into the bonus fridge,, whilst I ate my bowl of curry + rice + salad with ample portions. In fact I think there were two scoops of ice cream!WiFi: splendid free access and no problems, very efficient. Large screen television with good reception.I fell asleep quickly initially, reading my book but had not adjusted my pillow. After a toilet visit, it took me longer to fall asleep a second time but then I slept very soundly until being awoken by my alarm clock.A lovely hot shower [see a couple of negatives below] was instantly available, followed by a remarkable range of food choices at breakfast in the dining area, which was 'basic' but entirely adequate and again, very efficient.Reception kindly booked a taxi for me, which again was very efficientt and slightly early and very reasonably priced with assistance with my luggage.

In the shower, I was unable to adjust the shower-head and had to be somewhat of a contortionist to adopt various complex postures to ensure the water met my head and body parts - not ideal. It was too high for me to be able to reach to centralise the shower-head. It was also a struggle to use the soap dispenser .... I needed three hands! One hand to raise the bottle to enable a second hand to operate the plunger effectively and a contortion to enable the first hand also to 'catch' the liquid soap as it dribbled down the side of the bottle! Not ideal.The bathroom floor was 'OK' but not spotless.At breakfast, whilst there were many choices [and I really appreciated the availability of the boiled eggs and many other items], I would have liked there to be a Muesli cereal option and brown bread for toast with some option for marmalade or jam. However, I chose beans on toast, so I did not need the latter option.

Nothing really - floor in bathroom could have been cleaner behind door & toilet.

Clean and spacious rooms with friendly staff; a super-modern hotel near the Huddersfield inner ring road and not far from the train station.

Very slightly hard to find (on a side street and could use a "turn here" sign on the main road).

Room was excellent, everything you need including iron and board and fridge and even a safe. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean.

Staff at the reception were extremely hospitable, very informative & made our stay memorable, Got an excellent choice of food & even room service. The room was clean & tidy. They have their own car park so the car was secure, we come from Slough, we will definitely only be stay here next time we in Yorkshire

Good room and facilities breakfast can be added, looked good but didn't want to get up!Room next door was noisy but good overall.

Excellent location to the city centre and good value for the price which included breakfast.

The cooked breakfast could be improved with better quality products, sausages, bacon and beans etc. But remains good overall value.My room was close to the noise of the refrigeration unit - slightly annoying

Unfortunately the shower door had come off its hinge which made getting into and out of the shower tricky
