Possibly the most uncomfortable night I've ever had to pay for. Coils poking through the sagging mattress, noisy squeaking bed, faucet for shower barely worked so it was scalding. Carpet & mattresses needed to be replaced about 20 years ago.

The lodge was very close to the jet parks car park we had booked and took us approximately 5 mins to get there. There was parking at the lodge which was a bonus.The rooms were very comfy and clean with tea,coffee and water supplied. We were welcomed at the Lodge by one of the owners who was very polite and friendly. The facilities were explained to us and we booked breakfast as an additional extra.We had a good night's sleep and went to have our breakfast. The full English breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. There was also toast and jams available along with cereals if required. Coffee was available via a pod machine and was lovely. The owner was very polite at breakfast and again very sociable.Excellent stay and will use again

Superb location for Airport, very pleasant host who met and helped with our check in, bedroom was warm comfortable and spotlessly clean with all necessary requirements eg. Coffee, Tea,TV and Toiletries .Excellent value for money ,would definitely recommend and stay again.

Hosts Very friendly on arrival and such a beautiful location... rooms absolutely amazing and clean.. being next to a busy road and the airport flight path its a perfect quiet stay...and the breakfast was cooked to perfection... for this time of year it was cheap and I would definitely recommend to all.

The place was perfect

Breakfast was excellent and no issue with staff.

But the facility is very tired. Bed extremely uncomfortable and signs of damp in bathroom and around the skylight. Overall clean but in desperate need of a full renovation.

Very convenient for the airport .

The ground floor family room we stayed in smelled fusty and damp . The window couldn't be opened because noise from road traffic was terrible . Didn't sleep at all and the bed was really uncomfortable. We were offered another room but these were really small .

Staff friendly

No overnight management control and and noisy check-ins after 1am - poor heating until it had been on for sometime

We came from USA for the wedding in Manchester, the staff was excellent and very helpful to find the tourist place and special thanks for tasting the British breakfast . Love you all , God bless you. If we have a chance to visit again in UK definitely will stay one more time .

Very convenient. More character than some modern ones. Room well equipped- hairdryer, ironing board. Given choice of rooms. Staff very polite and accommodating

Close to Manchester Airport- great value- friendly and helpful staff

Front room noisy with road traffic (we were offered a choice when we arrived- so no criticism of the hotel- my wife’s a smoker so wanted the front room)

The property was very well located, it was spotlessly clean, it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the price was excellent value, I would have paid twice the price. The accommodation is in a character old building and I appreciated its traditional quirky aspects. The bedroom and bathroom was modern and clean, with excellent water pressure in the shower. This was a far more interesting stay than a generic premier inn equivalent. If in the area again, I would certainly stay here again. Indeed I met some other guests at breakfast who regularly return and I am not surprised. I highly recommend this property. It is very good value for money. I notice some other reviewers have unfairly marked lower scores but I think this is misleading and unhelpful, as I assume they are basing their reviews on expectations from higher priced hotels. I seriously have no idea how this hotel makes a profit on the service and facilities they offer, it is exceptional value and the reason why I scored it a 10.
