Located in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis. The George & Dragon has a selection of comfortable rooms. As an old coaching inn, the rooms all have different character and layouts. All have private bathrooms, tea/coffee, TV, and Wi-Fi internet access. The inn features a yard with a heated parasol, secluded gardens, and ample parking at the rear. Live music is provided on Saturday nights until 23;00, as well as a disco party on Fridays until 23:30. Please note that this hotel is not near Stansted Airport, which is a 35-minute drive away.

The room was spacious especially the bathroom.

Member of staff on reception was very good, showed us to our room,

Cons -

The room was at the front of the road which meant we booked hear all the punters talking outside and I dont like the steel flight of stairs going downstairs directly outside the room.
Room was not actually inside hotel but accessible from street no internal lock on front door window at street level Ill fitting with broken locking catch
For a superior room was basic and not particularly clean, bed was uncomfortable, bathroom smelt musty did tell staff. Carpet was questionable wouldn't stay again.
