Pros +
- most of the experience
- Nice staff, good food, adequate room
- Staff were friendly
Cons -
- Received a parking fine for parking in the hotel car park, gave reception number plate details, no signs to say patrons can't park
- Getting a parking fine due to a mix up at reception
- The hotel is badly out dated and musty. Any other hotel i stay in , which is every 2 weeks, has a hussle and buzzle about but this place is dead for atmosphere and you feel completly alone in it.

Staff where friendly although only seemed to be one person
Bedroom very tired needed a good dust . Bed extremely uncomfortable . Very noisy will people in the corridor
Staff were ok when you could find them.
No receptionist for long periods , no one there when I checked out so had to leave key behind the counter .
Beds were very comfortable.Room very basic, only a small hanging rail for clothes. The second room we were offered was quieter.Staff were amazing, helpful and polite. The hotel DIY man, who supplied the extension lead was extremely obliging and courteous. The breakfast was okay, and the timescale available was excellent, didn't have to get up too early to catch it on time!Had the potential for being a great place to stay.Bar staff in the evening very friendly, nice to chat to, front foyer was a pleasant area to sit and chill.
Nowhere to put clothes other than a small 'hanging rail'. No bedside table/stool next to the smaller bed. Additional 3-pin plug points didn't work; only the kettle plugpoint, so we were given an extension lead so we could charge our phones/tablets. The first room we were offered had a very noisy fan in bathroom, even with door shut. We were given an alternative room immediately. However the strip light over the mirror in bathroom didn't work. As my husband has dementia, and we leave a light on in the bathroom always, so he knows where to go (the main light would have been too bright to leave on).Breakfast was adequate but cannot say that the food was great. Being stored under heated lights tends to make things 'rubbery'. Not enough croissants/pan au chocolate - virtually run out by the time we got there.Staff were very obliging and helpful though. Cannot fault the staff at all.The place seemed rather 'run down and tatty' ... we were told this was 'work in progress'.
Good value,, friendly staffFood from the restaurant was very good
The shower, difficult to regulate the temperature and it sprayed water everywhere except in the shower area ( shower head blocked)
Comfortable bed, upgraded big room & Beer garden
good welcome, quality room, value for money
We were put in a room that was on the 2nd floor which was the furthest room away from reception and up many stairs. We are in our 70's and didn't appreciate having to climb all these stairs with our luggage. The room was very very basic. The hotel had a smell that was not nice.
- Staff helpful and nice-Room good-Quiet night
Heating needs sorting out as the upper floor was scorching and radiator couldn't be turned down night staff took 6 hours to bring a small fan that didn't help and a further hour for a radiator valve to be found. However Charlie was wonderful when we spoke to her at check out
Reception desk open till late & directed how to access the hotel when late. The receptionist humble & welcoming.Room big & spacious & comfortable bed.
Hotel is dated but rooms are clean and warm. Staff were friendly and helpful.
My room was clean and comfortable and I slept well. The internet connection and shower were both decent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was inexpensive to stay here.
It felt like it had seen better times, but was on the up.
Location. Loads of parking. Nice sized room. Well designed.
Not having a lift was a struggle, and there was no offer of help to carry my stuff to my room. Room was fine, could do with some refreshing in the bathroom. Corridors were too hot.
I pay deposit 50£I wait to receive my money in my account bank
Hotel full of single men, looking like they are homeless.Freezing cold, empty, very smelly bar area and old rooms.
Staff were lively
Very calm environment friendly staff and clean!!
Bigger tv would be nice
Location and grounds
Stank of smoke.. desperately in need of make over. Chair in lounge was falling apart. Heating system was either boiling or freezing. Bar was badly stocked.
