Delicious food and peaceful stayThe on-site restaurant is excellent — we had the mixed meat platter for two and it was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is located by the road, but at night there’s very little traffic, and most rooms face the quiet side of the property, so it’s very peaceful. The air is incredibly fresh, and the hosts are extremely polite and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The staff were really helpful and friendly. We only stayed one night, but it was worth it. We had a meal in the evening which was enjoyed by all. I had the homemade steak and ale pie followed by the apple pie. I would highly recommend them both. They were delicious. Breakfast the following morning was also fantastic. The location is great, only a few minutes from the motorway. We used this as a stop on our way back from Edinburgh. If we ever need to stay near Preston again, we will definitely be staying here.
There were only two things I could mention, neither of which would stop me from coming again. There was a small amount of mould around the bath in one corner. It was only small and could easily be sorted. The other thing was that the sofa bed was not that comfortable. The main bed, however, was really nice, but like I've said, they wouldn't stop me from coming again.
Food was amazing
View from window wasn’t very good a car park
Amazing and tentative staff who provided a quick service, polite, professional, and friendly- so felt welcomed. Room was decent size and modern decor which added luxury feel to the stay. I couldn't fault the staff and the room overall was good
Although we stayed in a lovely modern, good-sized room, the bed mattress was a big let down. It was extremely firm, and both partner and myself didn't get a comfortable enough sleep, unfortunately. There was also a mark on the underside of the duvet cover that looked like blood. Unsure if it was just an old stain or new but just dry.. Also, one of the bath towels had brown marks on it too.
Excellent welcome and service as previously, well located and ideal for a comfortable overnight.
It was quiet and peaceful, the staff helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was spot on.
Comfortable bed; lovely staff
The Inn is on a main road. Didn't realise at the time of booking. Nevertheless the windows were well insulated so the traffice didn't disturb us.
Staff helpful and friendly , room clean and comfortable
No heating in bathroom
Great staff. Lovely and clean
Drains- a smell sometimes when entering the bathroom
Great place to stay for a short break. Our room was lovely and the meals in the restaurant were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
Although on quite a busy road the building is set back & room at the back so not a problem re noise. Great en suite bedroom being clean, decent size with best drink tray selection we’ve had. Food was good & excellent value .A perfect base for what we needed.
Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms nice and reasonable size. Good showers. Food excellent and nice choice both in evening and at breakfast. EV charger in car park was added bonus
The hotel & pub restaurant are very welcoming with a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The staff are very attentive with a great level of customer service. The food is excellent quality and delicious and the service is one of the best we have experienced. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff are a credit and the manager goes above and beyond.
