Good location for meeting. Friendly staff. Good food and good prize.
Very cold in toilets and rooms are a bit dark.
Friendly staff and comfortable room. Great shower.
Coffee option in the morning, only Americano.
Low quality establishment, only booked...
Rooms were cold. Restaurant and bar was cold. I requested a room change due to temperature. Menu in restaurant printed on an A4 piece of paper and left on the bar, odd selection of food to choose from. Staff were speaking in own language throughout rather than English.
It’s been refurbished but the remnants of its original 70s design remain. Bar and restaurant are impersonal.
There was no hot water on day 1 of a 2 day stay and on speaking to the staff some apology but everyone is in the same boat!!! No price reduction or offset offered
Large room with a comfortable bed. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the room, along with a hairdryer and ironing board.
Good location clean and comfortable
There was no food available at the hotel which is pretty poor
Welcoming staff.Nice rural locationOpposite a service station
Is a 3 star hotel at most.Room was stuffy, not AC.The hallway was not clean. The Lift is scary lookingVery outdated hotel for its ratingEmergency door left opened, no security. Not a safe hotel .
Location and staff
The booking details between booking.com and the hotel could be better, we booked with breakfast but doesn't show at the hotel end
Location was good for the motorway, parking was very easy with plenty of room.
Found the bedroom very dark definitely needed more light.
Lovely and helpful by the chap on reception. Rooms clean and comfortable
Only one staff member on duty who was working between booking people in and bar duty. No restaurant available for evening meal
I had a great stay at the Garner Hotel in Preston. The room doors were double locked, which made me feel very safe — perfect for solo travellers. The room itself was fairly spacious with plenty of plug sockets, a great tea and coffee selection, and a handy hairdryer. Complimentary toiletries, including shampoo and conditioner, were provided. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus, and the bed and pillows were super comfy — overall, a really comfortable and secure stay. Lovely staff.
When I arrived, I asked if I could book a table for dinner but was told the restaurant was closed. I hadn’t realised this before my stay — otherwise, I would’ve planned to eat out. As a solo traveller, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable going out late to find food in an unknown location to myself. The room also didn’t have a main ceiling light, just several smaller lamps placed around the room, which made the lighting feel a bit dim And £3 for a can of Pepsi Max felt quite overpriced!
NothingRaining in through the reception on arrival. Buckets everywhere.
Raining in through the reception on arrival. Buckets everywhere. No staff to greet us. Room was dark and cold. No food being served on a Saturday night!. Recommended a Chinese up the road even though there was a beautiful pub less than 5 minutes away with amazing home cooked food and friendly staff. Breakfast was shocking slimy scrambled egg which tasted like it had lots of flour in it. Awkward staff hovering over us at breakfast.
Clean tidy and breakfast was nice and chef was very helpful
WiFi was very poor
Being together as family, breakfast was great
No food available and no staff available in the evening when we arrived despite having phoned earlier and been told, no problem we can fit you in the restaurant whenever you need to eat!!!
Easy location just off M6. Big car park on-site - easy parking. Good quality bathroom and comfortable bed. Good breakfast
The king size bed was really excellent in size and comfort. The parking is very close to reception and the check in procedures quick and easy. The position is good for stopover en route for car motorists.
The breakfast was not up to expectations , The room requires a number of minor and major maintenance interventions, I have notified the staff on check out.
Excellent great clean room very modern.great value for money.
The staff are excellent - so helpful and keen to do a brilliant job. Standout Rooms are clean and comfortableGym is decent
Not sure the food menu looks that good. I didn’t eat there.
