Comfortable room. Good facilities

Additional payment of £10 per person to use the pool and no robes in the room, otherwise it was as advertised

Room was clean

Very difficult to get to and drive away from. A locked gate greeted every arrival and staff was not quick to raise the gate for checkin. Traffic approaching and leaving was very congested.

Our meal evening and Breakfast

The toilet didn't flush, the shower didn't drain, there was no view at all just a brick wall. For the money I feel it wasn't great. This was ashame as we have stayed a few times and love this hotel. Just ashame on the room.

Room was lovely, very comfortable and everything you need. Especially liked the fresh milk in the fridge on the corridor. Beautiful hotel, been many times and the upgrade looks fabulous.

Disappointed with the restaurant. Food wasn't fantastic, nothing special and breakfast wasn't hot. The service in the restaurant wasn't good which is a shame because the rest of the hotel was great

the accommodation is excellent in all respects

1. hot breakfast buffet = only just warm breakfast= pretty disgusting . It would help if there was a genuine cold table of ham and cheese were available as an alternative. 2. customers like myself staying for more than 2 nights on a DBB basis are faced with a very limited choice given the table d'hote menu offered. I do not enjoy vegan options.

Clean roomReception friendly

Cleaner tutted when cleaning the reception area at 9.25, which is breakfast timeOlder lady at area where cakes were wasn't over friendly when I asked for a glass, said she would when she finished what she was doing I overheard the same lady tell someone they shouldn't have come for breakfast so late, as not everything was available, it was 9.30am. Breakfast finished at 10am!I asked for some chocolate rolls as they had all gone, but the man disappeared, I gave up waiting after 5 minutes

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, polite and accommodating.

I’m not food we could get after 8.00pm was sandwiches. Room was dirty in places and needed a really good dust and hoover particularly around the edges.

Some items ran out therefore waiting meant cooked breakfast was not warm by the time returned to the table

A great location, just off the M6 for a stop over. All staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.

As soon as we got there staff were amazing. Really outgoing, friendly, welcoming. Room was lovely and clean with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious. Leasure facilities were excellent and clean.A lady on the front desk was loveliest person we've ever met at this location and we've been a few times now.

Staff, room, cleanliness, fresh milk available, glass jars for ketchup etc rather than sachets.

Lemon tartan tasteless with very soggy pastry, otherwise food was good

It would have been nice if you could use the pool for longer than 90 minutes.

Lovely smell as you walk in. Bed comfy and nice grounds

Spa is overpriced and someone cleaned around the pool with a deck scrubbing brush and dipped it in the pool water so we didn’t stay in it much longer once we saw that. £20 is a bit too much

Clean, friendly staff, gated

We were there for a wedding, which was fantastic. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff.The time it took to he served and received our food was poor.

The door bell service at the bar Area near reception was not good and each time we waited. I ended up going too reception and asking for assistance.When my husband who walks with walking aid, had too ask someone to deliver his food and drink to a table ?

The room was well equipped, and quiet -we were in the Gatehouse. There was a good range of breakfast food on offer.

The Wedding chairs could have been a bit higher - if you have replacement hips, you need a higher seat. Also, the walk in shower had no grab rails and the floor was very slippery, a bath mat or seat would have been helpful.

Staff were all lovely and polite.

Could only use pool facilities once and had to book a time. It would been good to know this when I booked it. If you want to use it again there's a £10 pp charge each time.
