Would stay again. Breakfast was tasty, well cooked with cereal options etc. Staff were very friendly, cheerful & professional. Small double room was perfectly comfy & had everything I needed for my 1 night stay. Good, spacious shower, hot water, toiletries, kettle & drink sachets etc, lovely clean, crisp bedding. Very good value for a very reasonable price paid. Parking was @ the hotel, too. A good walking beach nearby & pier, cafes & so on. Thank you for a safe, friendly stay for solo female traveller.

    Location

Shower didn’t work properly Mold around the grout Room was tinyBeds not comfortable Water lying at top of stairs no one cleaned up

    5DianaPosted on: 12-6-2025

    quiet.

the longest walk to our room, the furthest along all the corridors and for 2 disabled ladies was a real struggle. curtains badly made, one had header tape pulled up into neat pleats, other not at all - so saggy and wrong. the clear glass sink was bizarre, no luggage rack but we saw them in other rooms. radiator not working, fan heater supplied which is quite noisy. the overhead shower not to everyone's tastes, impossible when wanting to keep hair dry, also leaked badly from joints above control. took ages to get hot water through. dirty tooth glasses, and remained dirty on day 2.

Location was good, Staff was friendly clean and tidy reasonable price for a Saturday night.

Wasn’t a fan of the shower as was on a raised platform where the shower door only covered half and water cud run out onto the bathroom floor.

The location is the only thing going for this hotel.

Worst night in a hotel ever broken bed that had been attempted to be fixed making it be at a 30% slope to one side. Very dirty room and bathroom. Definitely something wrong with the plumbing the room and bathroom stinks of sewage the sink tock over 15 minutes to drain away needed to run hot tap for about 20 minutes to get any hot water from the shower. Paper thin walls the man next sound like he was in our bathroom all night.Very strong smell and haze of cigarette smoke in our room and all night and morning it was coming out the extractor fan in the bathroom pumping cigarette smoke into.our room We told the man at reception this when we left and his response was doesn't matter now because the guy next door to you checked our 10 minutes ago. We did have another hotel booked for the next day in torbay but after driving past it looked has bad as this one so we booked a travelodge instead We definitely do not recommend this hotel also looked like it was housing homeless people over night.Avoid at all cost dont go here absolutely terrible.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good we were able to swap what we had for breakfast rather than having a full English breakfast everyday.

felt our bathroom was poorly laid out as very small space were toilet was situated.

All staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location. Comfy bed, plenty of storage. Ample parking.

The shower set up is horrendous. Side step in and around loo, very very sloppy.

    3RichardPosted on: 10-16-2025

    Not a lot!

The bed was uncomfortable, the en-suite was a joke, so small. There were no facilities open, no where to sit, no bar, no food available in the evening or lunchtime. Staff were all male and only one was talkative. Breakfast was ok but not very exciting. Only sliced bread avaliable.

I've booked the Torbay Court Hotel numerous times for stays in Paignton recently. It's a reliable, clean, quiet, comfortable hotel a short walk back from the main sea front (the Esplanade). The location is towards the Preston end of the Esplanade. The overall decor of the hotel is very nice, having undergone a renovation around 2021. The foyer is quite impressive as you walk in and sets off the hotel as a welcoming area to guests.Parking is available in an on-site car park, so for driving guests it's a bonus. The hotel does breakfast and sometimes dinner/evening meals although I have not dined at the hotel. The hotel itself is in a quiet street set back from the main seafront, but close enough to walk into the centre of Paignton.Staff are extremely courteous, helpful and friendly and act quickly on any issues.Rooms are comfortable, well decorated and functional. Most rooms are en-suite I believe, although bathrooms and showers do vary in size depending on the room. Many have walk in showers rather than closed cubicles. There is a small lift if required for use.All in, a nice hotel.

    Nothing to say here.

As soon as we got there we were informed that the road exiting the hotel will be closed. And that of we didn't leave before 7am we would be stuck till the afternoon. Considering check out is at 12, we lost a lot if time we paid forI am disgusted at the fact we were not told about this it really did ruin our stay.Combined with what sounded like a fridge in the room next door, keeping me up all night. And the springs in the mattress digging into me.I didn't manage to sleep at all. There was mould on the shower screens, and the whole place had a grubby feel to it.

    Staff were polite.

I woke up on Sunday morning with bites on my neck and shoulders. (Possibly bed bugs)? The website also advertised live entertainment, which didn't happen.
