Everything. No faults to be honest....
It was busy with company folk, business conferences, etc during the day. Expected I guess. By the evening much this had finished and it was very peaceful and relaxed.
The room we booked was absolutely amazing and had a beautiful view of the gardens. And the wellness suite is nice touch. Very clean and calming.
The pool and gym were really good together with sauna and steam room
Food in zagatos bar wasn’t great and booked orangery for the sat but the hotel changed it and said will have to eat again in zagatos bar which I didn’t want to. It was valentines evening so looks like they couldn’t fit us in but made mistake of booking us in first place. Booked a breakfast for the last day however they only booked one room instead of two. So cancelled that.
Beautiful hotel with amazing staff and facilities. If you ever need anything the staff are always happy to help and are very friendly. The hotel itself, I’ve never been to a better one. Access to the spa and pool were a dream. Can’t wait to come back.
The only downside was our room was directly opposite the cleaners supply room so we had a very early wake up call by them starting their work. Obviously they need to do their jobs, but wasn’t expecting to be up so early.
The staff were extremely helpful from the moment I arrived - a little early needing the loo! - until checkout and including the meal in the Orangery Restaurant with a friend in the evening.
The room was a bit noisy because of a generator (I think).
I used the spa facilities steam room, sauna pool, It was quite busy I don't know, but it seem people who were not staying at the hotel had access to them as well so it wasn't that exclusive, but in general the hotel was a nice place to stay.

Comfortable (if cold), spacious and quiet room and the hotel was well located for local attractions.
We stayed here in November on a cold night and the room was cold - we needed to ask for an electric radiator to be delivered to our room. Eating at the hotel was challenging. We were too late for bar food so we ordered meals via room service and, after waiting for nearly an hour, we gave up and cancelled the order. It was then too late to go out to eat. We were offered complimentary drinks as an apology the next day.
Great location. Good facilities. Super friendly staff.
Location was good.parking was good.comfortable beds spacious bathroom
The spa was badly laid out
Apart from breakfast times it...
Told us breakfast finished at 10.30 when we arrived on Saturday but forgot to tell us it finished at 9.30 weekdays so very unhappy when arrived at 9.30am Monday morning took it up with reception when checked out said Manager would contact us But still waiting week later
I love the gym there. It's not new but it is really nicely laid out. Lots of machines + warm up / warm down room.
Wireless - didn't work. Connected to the network but no outside internet activity
Room lovely and staff are very attentive
There is chewing gum on the wall beside the lift. The cooked breakfast was Luke warm to cold.
It’s a very lovely hotel, beautiful lobby and rooms, very nice staff, the breakfast was delicious and the service was great too. I was grateful for the gluten free options. The view at breakfast was very nice too. The lobby is decorated very nicely and very comfortable. I loved the spa - swimming pool was lovely and warm, the sauna in the woman’s changing rooms was great and the steam room was a highlight. The grounds are stunning. I loved the room I was given. It was decorated really nicely and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had good power and hot water straight away.
The main sauna needs renovating. The walls are quiet hazardess. I got a splinter. The dinner prices are pretty expensive. The remote control in my room needs a good clean and I think it’s a little strange to not have a menu in the room, or a toilet brush in the bathroom.
Everyone so pleasant, the room was well stocked with toiletries and refreshments. We had two rooms both were excellent, very clean and well decorated. Breakfast had a good menu and beautifully cooked, nothing too much trouble. Gluten free traveler was well catered for including a good afternoon tea. A Birthday was acknowledges with a card and box of fudge, what a lovely thing.
Hoovers and cleaning buckets in corridors 24/7. Room service trays full of dirty plates etc outside lift door on top of tray cupboard, on arrival day 3pm onwards, cleared over night. We telephoned to make sure there was a lift and no stairs to room, there was from lift to landing, we managed, but not what we expected.
Pool as ever tho changing rooms were cold.
Empty feel but thats not hotels fault.have always felt the reception area needs more warmth and oomph.
We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will be back again. Lovely hotel with very helpful, friendly staff and good rooms. Lovely setting and location in the town. We loved having access to the sauna, steam room and pool as part of our stay.
On our most recent second visit, the spa facilities were a bit grubby when we used them in the evening, which made it a less enjoyable experience. There were paper cone cups (provided for water) scrunched up and left everywhere, even in the steam room and sauna as well as on many of the seats by the pool. There were big puddles of water and hair and things on the floor which weren’t mopped up over the hour or so we were down there. It was still nice to use the facilities, just not quite as relaxing.
We loved the Wellness Suite! It was spotless and quiet (just us and maybe 8 other people). All the facilities are great and the dimmed lighting in the evening was a great touch. We felt so relaxed. The price is very reasonable for an overnight stay and spa experience when you consider how much some other spa hotels charge. Staff were all helpful and kind and breakfast was really good served in the lovely Orangery room. Great location right on the Commons and about 15 minute walk from the town centre.
My one negative was that the beds were not very comfy - we had two singles pushed together and I kept rolling into the gap in the night.
