Rooms were very tired. Bed mattress sunk in the middle

Staff were extremely helpful, the location was great and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also great having on site parking. Excellent value for money.

This is not a big criticism but our room was very dated but if it had had a total bathroom make over the room rate would be more and this would be expected. I'm sure this hotel will go from strength to strength as they were great hosts. A clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed are the most important. The pillows were a bit flat so maybe start there! A great stay for the money! Thanks

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is delicious. Great value for money.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is parking on site, the room is very comfortable and the breakfast is exceptional. This hotel definitely worth the stay but what takes it to next level is how welcoming the staff are

Great location and free parking

Incredibly tired and dated hotel. Toilet wouldn't flush and the water wouldn't stop running so it sounded like a water feature. Nothing felt clean. The shower barely worked.

The staff were friendly. The cooked breakfast was very good, and the hotel's location is great if you're visiting the town centre. They offer onsite parking which is included at no extra cost. The bedroom and breakfast room were very clean. Overall value for money.

The ensuite plumbing in our room is in need of some attention/upgrade but it didn't affect our night's sleep so wasn't a big deal.

Great location with ample car parking.

No lift and we were left to drag our cases up several flights of stairs. The whole property is worn and outdated and needs a complete renovation.

The location

Our room was like a throwback to the 1970’sI understand that it is a historic building but that doesn’t excuse the fact the room was water damaged and not repaired, the furniture was just like something from a second hand shop mismatched and worn out, the mattress had no firmness so you just sank into it.

Hotel is looking a bit tired. It could be difficult if you have heavy cases as there is no lift .

This place has seen better days. The room needs saving from weird energy perhaps because I booked a single room and was given one with 3 beds. It takes a few tweaks to make the place feel less ghostly and outdated-soft lighting, a receptionist who doesn't blurt out the time you need to check out when you're checking in at 1.30sm exhausted and disoriented from travels. Someone at the door when you arrive. And maybe flowers and some music as a backdrop to reduce the stiff white sheet effect of the hotel ☺️

It’s an old finish. Poor decor and needs a proper scrub down. No one came to change or clean room unless you asked. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. It’s true it’s a 2 star but some things should be standard.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers excellent value for money in a very central location.

My only (very small) criticism is that a more modern room would have more power sockets. I didn't ask about vegan options for breakfast, but I'm not sure there were any.

Location very good ,parking a bonus in this area .. lovely clean towels and white cotton sheets . Cheaper than most other hotels in the area

Dated and in need of renovation . Walls marked and could do with new carpet .Small tv , too far away to be able to see well from the beds . Shower needs attention and the heating was not on when we arrived in the room so it was abit chilly . Bathroom had a separate heater so that was already on tho .
