Pros +
- Warm and comfortable. Clean and helpful
- Good sized clean room. We enjoyed a buffet style breakfast with lots of choice
- BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT
Cons -
- No fridge in room. Heating kept going off and on.
- We were in room 101, the first room at the bottom of a flight of 'hollow' stairs which everyone used to access their rooms. Therefore it was rather noisy.
- A little run down. Had to contend with stairs which I was not expecting. Room had several cobwebs hanging from the ceiling.

BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT
I asked for a ground floor room as I am not too great on my feet these days! I got a ground floor room, but the original one I was allocated, was scored out and I was moved to another ground floor room an exceptionally long way from the reception!!! My original room was allocated as room 118 and I was moved to room 133 which as the room number suggests was a very long walk! I was slightly disappointed in that aspect!!
Great location -lovely room, comfortable beds. Great value evening meal and the food was excellent . Really good breakfast too.
Receptionist and bar staff freindly
Hotel not as described on website. No pool as advertised, and certainly not 4 star.Restaurant farcical. Food not great and restaurant manager a complete joke. If you decide to take the set meal, 3 course you must decide before this before you eat and select sweet, with no going back if you decide you are full. He told us that the chef is not qualified to do anything other than the basics and you cannot change anything on the menu. Hence fries for chips ?
Clean and comfortable but basic
It's very far out of town
Good dinner, helpful staff
We stayed in the heatwave, and there was only one very ineffective fan which made no difference to the room. But it is fair to point out that it was an exceptionally hot day/evening and everywhere was probably the same. However, the fan was hopeless even when sat right beside it.
Restaurant food and staff at dinner were both great
The room had moth eaten carpet, all the furniture was chipped, walls were stained, bathroom was stained with cracked tiles - clean bedding, towels and inside bath but altogether just felt uncared for. Lots of cobwebs in the room and around restaurant windowsills.
Very comfortable bed
Tired and needs some upgrading. Disappointing check in experience
Only my husband had breakfast once. Not exciting.
The room had a very small bed, too small and we are 2 slim people.I had sent a message to the hotel before our stay, to confirm we would have a large bed or normally large for 2 people and they answered that of course it was!!!
Staff
No air conditioning No free parking Far from main TW areaTired rooms
Quiet and good location.
Rock hard bed. Parking charges. Some staff were not pleasant.
Easy access
No pool & expensive
Breakfast and location were both good, especially Teresa who managed the breakfast room
When we arrived, staff couldn’t find my booking (I’d booked on booking.com), said he had a different card number for me, even when I showed him the booking and my card, and all emails from the hotel, and I had to show my bank reference before he finally agreed to book us in! Very poor service. And no mention of checking in our car reg
Beds were confortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Did not have breakfast as too expensive. Went to the local pub in Pembury for dinner.
1. Not being being advised before the booking that there was a £10 charge to park your car in the hotel car park. We were told on arrival but then advised that if we became a member of Mecure it would be free which we would have done beforehand if we had been advised.2. Outside Room 124 was a delivery and collection bay for the hotel. At 4.48am the dustbin men arrived to collect the rubbish which woke me up. We specifically asked for quite rooms but you could hear the traffic and the dustbin men in room 125 too.
For a long stay of 9 nights the room was perhaps a disappointmentThe linen was clean and crisp and housekeeping looked after us very well. The dining room was always full as coach tours use this hotel regularly. Therefore we ate most of our breakfast and some evening dining in a lounge/dining area used as a corridor to access bar and restaurant. The food was of a good selection and value should you choose to eat in house. All staff members that we encountered during our stay were always professional, helpful and welcoming.
A very busy hotel.Having booked specifically a room with walk in shower, we were informed that the one they had was due for maintenence as the shower leaked. This made it extremely difficult to negotiate for older clients.Understaffed in all areas of client service. For example: reception, restaurant, bar.The dining room was always full as coach tours use this hotel regularly. Therefore we ate most of our breakfast and some evening dining in a lounge/dining area used as a corridor to access bar, reception and restaurant. We feel sure that this property will need a full refit and refurbish before too much longer. Carpet in all areas needed cleaning and a spill in lounge/dining area was never attended to in our 9 night stay.
The hotel was easy to find but we arrived on a wedding evening so parking was challenging (although there is plenty round the back). The staff are excellent and the building is nice and spacious. The food is good value and the breakfast was good. It was good value for money. For those with a dog there are reasonable grounds and a nice walk across the dual carriageway (not the easiest to find)
Our room was adjacent to the court yard being used by the wedding, so quite noisy on the first night. Having the window closed meant the room was hot. A hotel like this should have an EV Charger.
extremely comfortable, staff were attentive and friendly, I had treats in my room as 'guest of the week' and was very well looked after
Very pleasant hotel with large, clean rooms in a quiet setting. Easy to find and plenty of free parking. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Food was very nice - we had both breakfast and dinner.
The process for booking a table for dinner was disorganised - I tried to book in advance by e-mailing (and was told reservations had been made), and also checked at reception on arrival, and still my booking for the second night didn't exist - perhaps an online booking form or clear instructions to book every day at reception would be a good idea. Staff were incredibly helpful about it though, and made room for us.
