The Lawns Guest House has a central location in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and offers stylish accommodations. Just 10 minutes’ walk from the town center, rooms at this Georgian property benefit from free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. We do not provide Breakfast, however, we have 2 fully fitted communal kitchens all guests are welcome to use. Retford also has many cafés and coffee shops within walking distance of the guest house, and there’s also supermarkets nearby. Each room at The Lawns has an en suite shower room with complementary toiletries, tea and coffee facilities and a 32” flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton sheets, comfy duvets and plenty of pillows. Retford is close to Nottinghamshire’s borders with Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. Historic Lincoln is a 35-minute drive away, and the guest house is just under 30 minutes from Doncaster’s Robin Hood Airport.

- We loved our stay at The Lawns as it worked really well for us as a family. The family room was perfect as it had twin beds for our boys and a separate room leading off the main room with a large bed for us. This meant that our sons felt secure and we had space for ourselves. We had all we needed in the room (tea, coffee, water, glasses, cups etc.) as well as toiletries in the bathroom. We also were near to local amenities (supermarkets, restaurants) and also a short drive away from Sherwood Forest. It was a great location and also really comfortable. Tim and Stelle were fab hosts and made everything really easy for us during our stay. We'll definitely be back to stay at The Lawns again as there's loads to explore in the surrounding areas!
Cons -
- Our boys were a little hot in the room but there was a fan so we were able to quickly rectify this and they slept soundly. We were really happy with everything offered to us.
