- The staff was amazing and it was a beautiful property and great breakfast!
- Good location and welcoming staff.
- The staff were amazing particularly the restaurant, who accompanied are needs and were just lovely.
Cons -
- Room was above the kitchen. Fan in the room was supper small.
- Unfortunately Derry isn't wheelchair friendly, the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate but geography was the problem. Cutting through the Richmond centre to the millennium forum was great but it closes at 10.. Then we had the challenge of going up a seriously steep hill and down again very dangerous especially with a wheelchair and 2 80 years+ ladies..

Convent to shops, restaurants and pubs. Friendly staff. Good value.

Super friendly staff. Comfy room. Great location. Nice breakfast. Parking nearby
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s in a perfect central location within the old town, right in the heart of a beautiful historic area, which made it easy to explore everything on foot. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The breakfast was truly above and beyond – made to order, cooked perfectly, and beautifully presented. They even served mimosas, which was such a lovely touch and made the mornings feel extra special.Overall, I had a fantastic experience here and would definitely come back the next time I’m in town.旅館位於老城區,內部有重新裝修,我們的房間可以看得到歷史建築,服務人員態度良好,早餐更是精緻,大力推薦!
No Parking, however staff were very nice to help us finding suitable parking spots.
Fantastic location in the center of town. Nice room and great restaurant.
No access to drive up parking. We had to cart our luggage up a steep hill in the rain.
Beautiful boutique hotel, located within the city walls of Derry.Comfortable and well-appointed room. Staff were friendly and helpful.Very good restaurant - not the usual hotel fare.
No valet parking, though parking is available within the city walls a short walk (7 mins) away. Need to replenish parking fee every 24 hours. This would not be the best hotel for anybody with mobility issues. There are several steps up to the front hall and because it is a small hotel with a small staff, there are not always people able to help with suitcases, etc. Also, because there is no valet parking, you basically need to pull your car up outside and then bring everything over to the hotel entrance and up the steps.
The Shipquay was the perfect place for our family to stay. They greeted us warmly and with champagne! The beds were extremely comfortable and all of the extra touches such as robes and slippers made it seem like we were staying in a spa. The breakfast was just right. The staff went above and beyond sending an article of clothing I had left behind to an inn farther along in my trip.I can not recommend this place enough! Thank you Shipquay staff ❤️❤️❤️

We had the most wonderful experience with your hotel. The room was absolutely fantastic with all the amenities and supplies expected from a five star hotel. The room was super clean and large. The bed and the pillows extra comfortable. The cookies and the chocolates were a nice touch. The breakfast was top notch. That was the best omelette I had over twenty years. I was blown away. The location of your hotel is also perfect. We walked to all the attractions in less than a day. Quite honestly I can say that your hotel was the best we have stayed at in a very long time. I wish we had more days there.
Being promptly greeted with champagne was such a nice way to end a long day of travel to Derry. Our room was very comfortable and well-stocked, and had nice touches like a robe and pair of slippers (which we always appreciate). The hotel location is absolutely ideal for seeing the Derry walls and murals, we took a few walks during our stay and loved exploring parts of the city. We were charmed by Derry's people, everywhere we went they were so approachable, courteous and helpful and loved to chat and share stories about their lives in Derry. The hotel bar staff was so kind and friendly when we stopped in for a drink after dinner--engaging and fun! Shout out especially to Mary, who served us both at the bar and at breakfast (which was absolutely fantastic!) the next morning--we appreciated her warmth, humor and great hospitality.
Nothing--we loved our brief stay in Derry and wish we could have spent another night.
The location was great and close to everything in town
I feel they need better signage as it was difficult to locate. And you have to pay to park your car across the way.
The food in restaurant was amazing with wonderful service!!
Room was stuffy but used fan!
Gorgeous room and hotel! Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Breakfast was great.
Wish it was more clear as to where I could pull in to drop bags. Wish I could have checked in earlier? Seemed room was ready as my bags were dropped in my room but maybe they work around that. Room was very hot.
This property is beautiful with great room. Close to Welland street with nice. Live music.
JP in the downstairs bar really did an outstanding job on our first day. Breakfast was amazing!
Car parking is a problem like in any big city.
It was half the price of Merchant in Belfast, and the rooms were quiet, had plenty of electrical outlets, and the Wi-Fi was great. We had dinner at their restaurant both nights because of the excellent food and sensible prices.
Beds were super comfortable and many outlets to plug into
We had 3 rooms and all of them had rooftop and alley views. Had to request a change in one room because it smelled like sewage
Was really central and the staff were all really nice and the room was lovely and clean had a lovely time. Was quite a warm evening/ night but the air conditioning in the room made it perfect to sleep
Nothing was a lovely night away
