Clean
Very quiet, clean and spacious room. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.
The hotel room and bathroom were very cold. Heating off due to previous warm weather but it turned damp and cold for our stay.
The location, breakfast, and price.
Small bedroom and thin walls.
The hotel is located on the edge of the city with ample parking provided on site. It is an easy level walk to the city centre through a quiet residential area ending up conveniently at the West Gate end of the Highstreet.Staff are friendly with a well stocked bar and restaurant with excellent food.
Pillows were a little hard, so i will probably take my own next time we stay - and we will be returning.
Friendly staff interested in making sure we had any information we wanted for sightseeing. Comfortable room, nice view overlooking courtyard.
It could be a little loud at times but we were on the first floor.
Good Food
Very expensiveOld structure and anemitiesNo elavators if one has heavy luggage
Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. I also liked the location - only 15 minutes walking to the gates of old town. The room was small, but clean, with all basic facilities I needed. For me this hotel was a value-for-money option.
The only problem was poor noise isolation - I heard people walking on the upper floor, and talking outside. For me it was not a big deal, as I stayed in the hotel only for one night, and I sleep really deep, but for someone more sensitive it could be disturbing, I guess.
We had a large flat which was great for my mobility issues. The staff was so nice. Our bed was initially uncomfortable and we loved they resolved this quickly with an extra pillow top. It was perfect and the customer service was amazing.
Breakfast staff bar
The odd entrance from the roundabout
Nice garden, great restaurant, great service and food in the bar and restaurant, great parking.
No air conditioning, no wash clothes provided (bath towels and hand towels provided but no wash clothes). Street noise bothersome because without air conditioning the windows needed to be open.
Location and free parking.
The property is looking tired and in need of refurbishment. We stayed on the first floor and the room had a problem with being too warm I would guess because the loft is not insulated.
Having a restaurant on site was appreciated as the hotel was about a mile from the town center. The food options were good.
Good for one nightCould open a window in bed room.No stairs to roomGreat car parking plenty for free.
This is a lovely hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent food. Walking distance in to Canterbury too.
I thought the bed was a bit hard but my husband loved it. Just personal preference.
a couple of the staff members were lovely
The room was so ridiculously tiny and very scruffy. All the furniture and the doors had many scratches and scuffs on them. Really poor. I could hardly move in the room as it was so tiny, like the size of a small prison cell. Felt like it hadn't been decorated in over 20 years. The full english was greasy and the kitchen did not smell good. The photos of this accommodation on booking.com were incredibly deceptive. The place was scruffy and run down.
Breakfast was excellent. Location was ok although my husband found the walk to the city centre difficult. This was due to his health not because the walk was particularly difficult.
Rooms are a bit dated. However they were clean, bed was very comfortable and we had all we needed.
Staff welcoming, good location, breakfast good
The restaurant was very popular and the food was excellent. Good value.
The room was cold
