Pros +
- The owners couldn't have been more helpful. The ferry came in at 10.15pm andwe didn't get to hotel till 11pm, but the husband waited up for us. And even gave us a later breakfast slot, since we were very tired. My husband loved the evening meal, whilst I opted for a long luxurious bath. Very comfortable sleep.
- Nice staff, caring about sick wife! Large room, nice and very comfortable Bathroom!
- great view from hotelroom was clean and well decorated
Cons -
- Not a criticism. I felt that in such a big room, there was space for a luggage rack and an extra chair would be helpful. Also, decided to have cereal and toast for breakfast. I was brought museli and fruit. Which was lovely, but a choice would have been nice. Only suggestions. We loved our stay. Highly recommend.
- The larger room was a bit costly for only 3 persons! The checkin only from 4pm onwards was a bit "annoying"
- drinks expensive, one of the waiters a bit confused

Elaine was incredibly kind and a great host. Lovely rooms, nice bar (try the Lewis gin!), super breakfast and well-located to explore both Lewis and Harris.
Staff were friendly.Views were unbelievable!Food was good.
View of the loch was lovely.Breakfast was tasty. The hosts were friendly.
We booked a room online and we received a confirmation of our room payment. When we arrived at the hotel there was no-one there. We waited an hour and then a tradesmen turned up. He apologised profusely and let us in, but he said that the hotel was closed because there were no bookings!Later on in the evening the hosts turned up; they had been shopping somewhere. I had texted the host in the afternoon and left a voicemail on her phone but she didn’t bother replying. There was no chef in the evening and no staff. So no restaurant. The kind tradesman offered to pick up some pizzas for us from a local eatery, which we paid for.No offer of any discount or any sincere apology. This was very disappointing. We found the hotel over priced but at least it was clean and comfortable and somewhere to sleep.
The owners, Peter and Elaine, could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. The food — breakfast and dinner — was excellent, our accommodations were comfortable, and their recommendations for exploring Lewis were really super.
I wish we could have stayed another few days. The Isle of Lewis is a treasure.
Room was clean and bed was comfy. View was nice. Dinner was quick and delicious.
We had to wait more than 30min for hot breakfast.
The owners and staff were lovely and very accommodating
Only suggestion is putting a normal height sink in room 6 as well as the other one
As a tour guide I had two guests staying here. They were a little dissapointed on arrival as the building is tired externally, we entered via the dining room which again is a little tired.Other than that my guests had a comfortable stay, nice big room, good food, and a very good welcome from the owners. It is a little expensive, but that's down to supply and demand. The islands are expensive no matter where you stay. Would I put guests here again, yes, happily.
Building a little tired, but work is going on to remedy this.
Friendly welcoming team , led by Scott and Elaine, in an excellent location to visit Lewis and Harris easily .
The staff and hosts were lovely and super friendly
The hotel was quite basic and felt it needed home comforts to make it feel more like a hotel. Breakfast was yummy but very early for a Sunday 7.30-8.30
beautiful location delicious breakfast friendly staff
uncomfortable bed
The location is magical and the room beautiful - but the most important thing is the kindness of the people that own this little hotel. I got sick while staying there, and they took care of me and helped me get well. These guys made me feel like I had a family away from home.
Wonderful warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful spot with lovely view over the loch. Comfortable room. Very nice breakfast.
Weeds outside entrance. Limited choice for dinner
Location was very convenient for us. Beautiful surroundings. Food was good and beds were comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly.
No drinking water or cold water in the room. Had to go and ask for some to put in the kettle provided. Hairdryer on request, but for the price of one night would expect this in room.
The hosts were wonderful, the room and bath were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Less than 30 minutes from the Tarbert ferry so very convenient.
Wi-Fi code did not work but it did not matter as we were too tired to google!
Loch Erisort Hotel is located in a remote area, so peaceful, with a gorgeous view down over pastures to the loch- and we even saw a white-tailed eagle from the dining room. Don't be put off by this being an older-style hotel; it may have been a travellers' rest inn in its past life, but the welcome we got from our hosts was so warm and the food wonderful. I would recommend anyone staying here to pre-book their evening meal as it is not near any alternative restaurants, and it was lovely to have a very yummy 3 course 'home-cooked' style meal there. Breakfast was a full English breakfast and beautifully cooked and presented. The shower was lovely and hot with good pressure, the bathroom modernised (we had a disabled-friendly room). Beds comfortable. Wifi great and secure.
There was nothing to dislike.
We liked the location because it was remote, quite and beautiful, and was central to several thing. It was a short drive from Stornoway, close to some of the sights we wanted to see, and a quick shot to Tarbert for the ferry back. The staff was polite and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent.
Nothing. Everything was great
Elaine and Scott made us very welcome when we arrived and throughout our stay. They were both very friendly and took time to talk to us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
